Right, I have decided this Bromley/Grimsby beef has gone on long enough - it’s time to put it behind you brothers and move on to Saturday!

I am not fancying our game with Woking one bit, we’ve just been humbled by Alty, they’re on the back of a great win, Roberts is suspended for us (not that he has been great so far this season but still has the quality to decide a game with a moment of magic) and the weather forecast is fucking atrocious with ‘Storm Arwen’ set to hit Nottingham around 3pm. Hoping The Cards are tired from Tuesday’s exertions and we can nick a win by the odd goal.

Woking are a good side they troubled us at the Racecourse. It could be a tight match.
We have Aldershot who are probably the first team we have played who are near the bottom of the table. In theory we might stand a chance but we do have a dreadful record there.

Perfect scenario to put a couple of bad defeats behind us, Tuesday’s seems like an absolute freak second half so I’m happy to write it off.

We have suspensions/injuries to deal with but no excuse as to why this can’t be a convincing home win.

I’m going for this to be Rodrigues’ afternoon. I think he’s struggled a little bit with Roberts coming back and no longer being our obvious lone creative talent as he was at the end of last season. Hasn’t been bad by any means, but not hit top form yet. Not got to worry about that with Cal out, and his family/friends are over to watch this one for the first time, which is literally all he’s ever talked about when interviewed since he joined. Ruben hat-trick, 3-1 Notts.

After a superb start we've faltered recently taking only a single point from the last two. Home to winless bottom of the league sounds like just the tonic required. What could possibly go wrong...

Petrolgate really can do one. Unless I can find some petrol in the next 24 hours, Torquay away isn't happening and that would be gutting.

I'm lumping BIG money on a Hurst special (1-0).

You need to win. As much time as I have for Neal Ardley as a bloke, I know for a fact there are some weirdo Notts fans just waiting to leap to their keyboards if Solihull go above us in the table.

We’ve lost our last seven at home, Saturday it will be eight. We may have a new manager but you can’t polish a turd, at least 6 of our side aren’t even NLS standard.

Who comes in for Roberts? Mitchell? And what system do we play. I think JoB might get a rare start.

Sounds like Lacey will be fit and available, so I’d expect us to go back to 4-3-3. If he’s not then we probably have to play a back three with only one fit centre back.

I’d like us to start integrating Vincent now. Burchnall made an interesting comment about him at that fans’ forum thing - “he’ll bring a lot of energy to midfield, which we need”, suggests he can see the obvious issue we have.

Reckon it’s a straight battle between Mitchell and Nemane to replace Roberts. The former is probably ahead, has done well when he’s played and Burchnall really rated him, but I think Nemane is due a run as well. Has been underused since far.

Both our games against Weymouth last season were an absolute horrow show on our part, so not looking forward to this one

Maidenhead may have felt like a defeat but we did get a point.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )

Huge shock if we did win. This feeble squad needs urgent reinforcement, notably wingers and midfield. The defence is fragile too. Other than that, our bench warmers are not of the required standard.
My only hope is a couple of loan signings pronto.
3-0 Wrexham.

Not sure what to expect from us.
It's another side that haven't had a great start with only a interim manager in charge. It's a potential banana skin we need to be as professional as we were last week and hopefully that means we get the win.

This one won't be easy. We produced our worst game of last season away at Barnet last year so demons to put to bed I guess.

Seen loads pulling out due to fuel shortage. Fallacy of not running a SC coach is coming home to roost, though the coach company that provides transport for the SC is struggling to get fuel! Fortunately train tickets booked already, even if somewhat pricy. Will only have about a hundred there.

Off I go to Solihull on Saturday morning, first time I'll go there not to visit the NEC. Literally going to tick the ground off and see what their chips are like (if they do chips), like the saddo groundhopper I am. I'm certainly not going to enjoy the football display Southend United will undoubtedly put on.
Last time I saw Solihull play they were the epitome of non-league shithousing bullies. If that's still the case it'll be more than 1-0 to them, probably 3 or 4.
Most surprising thing is we've nearly sold out our allocation, can't believe we're still managing to attract this many, even to new grounds we've not played at before.

That novelty will soon wear off if you keep losing bud.

We are no longer the shithouse team full of “rugby players” that we were in 2018-19 under Tim Flowers. We actually aren’t great defensively at all anymore.

Our 2 clowns are having a lie-in together but they've asked me to post their pre-match forecast for them:
"This is the sort ov game we should be winning but will probably lose then go on and beat Notts County on Tuesday. That's just us :dk: . It all depends on which Town turns up. If we're shit we'll lose but if we're brilliant we fancy us to get somefink. If we do lose, dont forget it will be because we were shit like we said we would be and because Pete Wild still hasn't learned his lesson we said he needed to learn. We fink vat's everyfink. See you after the match. Or maybe not."
