Wealdstone have lost their last two games 6-0 and 7-2, so that means an automatic 1-0 win for them on Saturday. We're more likely to beat Torquay on Tuesday, which is simply bizarre

Some fans hate it if a manager isn't going mental on the touchline all game long, shows a lack of passion, like they aren't taking their jobs seriously. Same with clothes. If it doesn't fit their predetermined view of what a manager looks like they can't process it.
could you imagine Keates wearing a suit on the touchline??

anyway, Saturday will be an interesting one, no doubt it will be won by a speculative Rowe strike from 30 yds whilst he is blowing out of his arse from lack of game time, that slips through Dibbles hands as Mr Glass is injured again

We've scored 8 in our last 2 outings, conceding none and Chesterfield lost their last 2.

I don't feel confident in the slightest, these aren't the sort of games we win.
FWIW we have been poor the last 2 games but have still created a lot of chances - I'm hoping we can bounce back tomorrow but I'm not confident of 3 points. I'd take a draw.

I dont think they do suits in his size. A sailor suit maybe.

Danny Wright out for Torquay with his hammy, I see. Will it make any difference? Maybe!
This is the first time in 3 years that Johnson has released any sort of news about player fitness. He's very big on keeping the opposition guessing, signings have often been with us for a week but are only announced at the same time as the team sheet.

So plenty of people suggesting that the Danny Wright injury will miraculously heal by 3pm tomorrow.

Not convinced myself but I bloody hope so. We are a completely different side without him, although Boden does seem to be improving with every game as he gets some sharpness back.

How's Boden looking there? I imagine he's yours if you want him permanently

Always liked Boden when he was at Halifax. Don't think the manager liked him though so he never got a look in

He was brought in to cover for Wright but took ages to get up to speed having not played in ages. Just as he was getting there Wright came back and Boden's never going to start when Wright's available so we've really not seen the best of him. Hopefully now he's bedded in to Johnson's way he can kick on and make a big contribution between now and the end of the season. Do you know whether his loan takes in the play offs?

I must admit I've always liked him. He's just a natural goalscorer, but he's fallen foul of a few managers here as well. I think he's just got a style that some gaffers don't like

I actually don't know, but I don't see why not. There might be a 'he can't play vs us' clause but I can't see why it wouldn't cover the playoffs

I always felt Boden got a bit of a rough time when he was with us. We never played in a way that would suit his game, and he was coming off the back of a nightmare year up in Scotland. He needed time and we weren't going to give him any unfortunately. It wasn't a surprise when he started scoring again when he went back to Chesterfield.

Bloody hell social media is going to be unbearable today. Half of Wrexham twitter is absolutely rattled by us

They’re even tweeting the Chester manager moaning about us

Twitter brings out the worst in football fans.

I mean, this nonsense came from your actual club twitter. It's the sort of thing I'd expect from our media team:

That may come close to taking the crown off of the Mansfield parade in the tinpot thread.
Woah Woah Woah, I don't think anything will ever take that crown. I still crack up that it was just a numbered Stagecoach bus apparently on its usual route

Yes, must admit I don’t get some of the stuff I’ve seen about him not wearing a Notts County managers coat or trackie on the touchline. Some have linked it to a lack of ‘passion’(?). Gareth Ainsworth wears skinny jeans and red winklepickers, neither of which bear a Wycombe crest, and he’s done ok. Ditto Paul Tisdale (well, until Bristol Rovers). Some of the other comments are a bit odd too, some fairly personal stuff from what I’ve seen, I mean it’s really not his fault he replaced the world’s nicest manager guy.

I’m still going to wait until he’s had a chance to get a few of his own in before I call for his head. James Rowe signed at least 15, and was even allowed to furlough half the deadbeats he inherited from Pemberton!
Pep at Man City doesn’t seem to wear Man City branding either but he’s doing ok.

Guess it’s like when fans demand to see their manager throwing arms around and yelling loudly on the touch line rather than sitting quietly thinking about what to do.

Every club has a large number of morons following them and they all go on twitter and Facebook banter pages.

Red Passion, which is usually a sea of hysteria, is fairly calm about today.

It's got a bit of a big game feel about it this today. Feels a bit of a must win for us really, a 4th game without a win would be pretty shit. I wouldn't be upset with a draw saying that but 'must not lose' I think!

I will be amazed if we leave Torquay with a point. IB gone for a more defensive lineup last seen by Ardley.

We’re in complete control at Torquay, so fully expecting us to lose 2-1 to two headers from corners.

Nice of us to give away another goal lead. Lost count of how many times we’ve gone behind first this season. Dreadful first half, almost as bad as Wrexham game the other week. Second half can’t really be any worse

Check Wrexham out having Brynn Law presenting their stream!

Shit game this so far, 2 stubborn sides who don't want to lose

You certainly are in control and could have gone in 2 or 3 up at the break. We really do miss Danny Wright... I was starting to warm to Boden but after his poor attempt at a near-post header to give us the lead I'm back in the 'fuck off back to Chesterfield camp'....

This next 45 minutes could either make or break or title hopes.... cue a 4-0 drubbing and Eastleigh not bothering to show up against Sutton whilst I have my jacket tatoe (with cheese, and brown sauce of course)....

We’ve got this kind of performance in us tbf, just far too erratically. You look a rare team we actually have a height advantage over, which helps.

I think you've edged it though. We look like the side that lost those games around Easter, not the team of the last two games.

I have a sinking feeling.

This is typical of us though. Been pretty dominant 2nd half so far, lots of huffing and puffing and trying, but has the Wrexham keeper really had to make a save yet?

I see the master plan- aim to finish 6th or 7th to play all our games away, where we play our best football. :ds:
