Weymouth away for us, doesn’t look quite the easy game some of our lot probably thought it would be a couple of weeks back; they’ve had a pair of decent results against Maidenhead and Solihull in the last two. Still, if we play to our potential we should win - I’ll go 1-2 Notts. Should be a decent following from us as it’s a New Ground.

Elsewhere, MASSIVE pressure on Rusk if he fails to win the Quigley derby versus Yeovil at Edgeley Park. And battle of the big spenders at the Racecourse. Plus, could Chesterfield hit double figures at Dover?

AJS can't get to his computer just now but he's asked me to post his comment for him:
"We were absolutely shite when we lost last time out and if we're shite on Saturday we'll lose again. Then again if we're brilliant we'll probably win. I think that's all the bases covered, let's see which Town turns up and I'll see you all after the game to say I got it right again.":ds:

Finally getting to my first match of the season Can't wait. Got a bit of time to kill before the match. Any recommendations for food or pubs, Torquay lot? How cold is the water? Wouldn't mind a 10am dip in the sea if possible.

Kind of game we can’t afford a slip up in if we’re serious about a title challenge. Should be a cracking day out.

We've nearly sold out our home crowd for the Woking match, with just a couple of hundred tickets remaining. It's a must win in my opinion.

Buoyed by their demolition of Torquay Woking fans seem to be pretty confident they will turn us over on Saturday.

Not having that. Three nil win.

Assuming we have to win sometime, Solihull at home is probably our best chance, considering our next few fixtures. Unusually, I am quietly confident after our performance at Notts last week ,but it’s all on the day of course.
If we lose, it’s already a long way back…
2-0 Shots ( please…)

King’s Lynn away and it’s Live on the telly box for you lucky folk. Anyone been there yet and is there beer in the away end? Looks like they’ve barely got an away end, not sure if it will be segregated mind not heard it is. Hopefully we have one back from injury to look better than last week and continue our good start.

Don't underestimate them.
They have gone pro now so rising through the tinpot pile.

I picked them as my Dark horse at the begining of the season.

Bumper crowd for you good luck.

Don't care how scrappy it is, we just need a win at this point. Alty were excellent across both games last season and assuming their style of play hasn't changed, it should be a good one to watch as a neutral.

We are in the middle of a set of difficult matches so I dont think we will underestimate Woking. We then have Grimsby away Daggers at home and them Stockport away. However we are still unbeaten and expect that to continue in front of a bumper crowd on Saturday.
We will get stronger as the season goes on

Is this a 10 game season?
A lot of people saying these are must win games. They aren’t are they, not really.

Will be nice to stay unbeaten, would take a draw now. But for other commitments I’d have been in Torquay this weekend, really enjoying the season already and it seems most of our fan base are too.

Considering $to¢kport and ¢he$terfield will keep strengthening with £18k pw players before our transfer window opens in January, every game this early in the season is a must win for us.

Is there much to do in Dover or Folkestone? Going down for the day if there is anything other than sitting in a spoons regretting one's life choices.

They don't play anyone of any note until October. No idea who put this schedule together for them.
I think an argument could be made that it's better to get the more difficult (on paper) fixtures out the way early. I'd much sooner have easier fixtures to play on the run in, wouldn't you?

Food... head to Hambury's in Princes Street, Babbacombe. Beer... after scoffing the best fish n chips in the Wescountry, head down the road to The Divers Arms (just a few minutes walk down from Princes Street).... The water is always fucking cold no matter what time of the year but if you like mountaineering you could always head down to Watcombe Beach* (good luck finding that, matey!)

*Love this place as it's grockle-free and spent many a summer's day there when growing up in the 'Bay.

Not in most leagues but in this one there is only one automatic promotion spot available so you can’t afford to drop points anywhere, specially with less games to be played due to fewer teams.

Folkestone is quite nice and has some bohemian bits. Dover has the castle I suppose.
