Game at Alty for us, one we *should* be looking to win if we have title aspirations but another like Weymouth that I don’t think will be straightforward. Will their 2 week Covid break have helped or hindered the Robins? Who knows. I fancy us to nick it by the odd goal however. Should be a decent away following too as it’s a New Ground.

Elsewhere, the undoubted game of the day is at Edgeley Park, where defeat for the home side could see them 12 points off top spot already. Crazy!

And Chesterfield’s ‘easy start’ continues with a home versus ‘beleaguered’ Torquay.

Halifax should beat us, they’ve had a decent start and look a good side, whereas we are leaky at the back and powder puff up front. But, we’ve got got the new manager bounce, he’s had a week with the players so he may try something new. Also, hopefully the crowd will be boosted by the return of those who were sick of Searles bullshit and that will push the players on. Anyway. Looking forward to football again for the first time in a long time.

Torquay at home in front of the cameras - 0-0.

Pleased to see Notts easy start continues away at Alty.

I’m expecting Stockport to finally come alive and put Wrexham to the sword.

Who can blame Southend for being ‘pumped’ (a phrase I’ve learnt from celebrity fan Bryn Law) ? A mere 3-4 years ago they were playing the likes of Blackburn, Blackpool, Portsmouth & Sunderland in the league but now they get to play Non League royalty in Wrexham. It’s a fantastic moment for them and no wonder they turned up.

Potential banana skin for us, every chance we may not have a fit striker if Ryan Taylor’s Mrs gives birth in the next 48 hours.

Resting McAtee worked well so it’ll be good to see him back in the XI, hoping we can build a bit of momentum as the way the league is going I can see no room for error in games like this.

If they have a midfield they'll have a good chance, aye. Might need a bit of magic from Mullin again.

I can only see a Wrexham win. I know every fucker comes on and says this when their team is doing shit but I really can't dress it up any other way. I'm really surprised Rusk is still here.

I'll go 3-1 Wrexham.

I hope so.

Proper gutted that I can't make this one. One of the big away days that I look out for at the start of the season.

The 2 clowns have asked me to point out it will depend on whether Pete Wild has learned those lessons they said he needed to learn. We'll know whether he has or not by 5 o clock on Saturday. If we've lost it will because he still hasn't learned those lessons and we were shit again and if we we've won it will be because he's a fantastic young coach who took their advice and learned those lessons and we absolutely brilliant. We'll just have to wait and see. :ffs:

For 45 mins you looked very strong against us, granted it was our worst 45 mins of the season though

You paid us too much respect, I said the same that night if you remember. Dagenham came and and pressed us the week before and got the rewards. Yeovil, Halifax now done similar.

PH has said that they have a plan ref Mrs Taylor and he should be available.
whether that is a cork to stop it coming out or hot curry and a hard shag to get it out I’m not sure, PH was discreet and wouldn’t go into details.

Our third away game of the season, Maidenhead United. New ground for me and my little party of four. Hopefully another three points and a clean sheet; but like every bodies team, we have our moments/games where it all comes unstuck.

0-2 is my prediction.

PS. I know nothing about Maidenhead.

Can only echo Stocky's sentiments, except for the bit where we score a goal, the damned fool that he is

All Wrexham have to do is get the basics right and the points are as good as theirs

Worst part is, given how there's been a fair chunk of away fans buying tickets in the home sections, combined with County fans' thoroughly frustrated mood, I can't see the match passing off without some unsavoury incidents

Grimsby look ripe for a Devonshireing, to be honest. There’s not been one yet this season, it must be due.

It's unlikely. This isn't last years team, all replacements are weaker than those that have left.

Hoping for a DOF bounce on Saturday, although still no sign of the athletic central midfielder that we need.

Results, form table , squad, pretty much everything says we should win. We were awful there last season, flat as a pancake, staggered to a draw, after that we went on a winning run.
First away game since lockdown which is great but I've copped for the driving so just a pint. Any good pubs Alty fans that sell Amber ale? What's with the IPA obsession everywhere.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Shots home to Halifax. Impossible to predict this one, what with the “new management bounce” . Not many player variations available, tactical changes not easy as we have no wide men to speak of. Shots have a few decent players, but defensively fragile whoever plays. Loanee striker Corie Andrews is on a hot streak, and with decent service will do the business. No shortage of effort or team spirit, but overall, the league position says it all. 2-2 draw, and a decent crowd looking for a new dawn.

We always lose games we should win. New manager bounce usually happens.
