Boom baby. Starting to get a nosebleed up here. 5th.. can you believe it 5th.

I was hoping for but not expecting that. I was waiting for the equaliser to pop up on sky sports news.

If we can beat Bromley on Saturday we might actually have a chance of making the play offs.

Hyde's been out half the season where could we be if he was fit all season

A big, cagey game that lacked any real quality from either side. Chesterfield for all their possession never looked like scoring if it wasn’t for Maher slipping and gifting them a goal. I said to my mates at 1-0 we would need a second to win the game as we would give away our typical clanger.

Big 3 points for us leading into another huge game against Bromley on Saturday.

Well deserved win for Halifax, took their chances when they came early on and then defended solidly from there.

Rowe needs to stop fucking about with these different systems and rotation of players now for different teams, it’s killing us. Get back to that 3-5-2 formation that set us on our way to the play offs in the first place... without Asante we don’t have a striker good enough to do the lone striker job it’s that simple.

Mitchell actually looked decent when he had a strike partner with him in the 2nd half, won everything in the air and grabbed a goal. Onto Wrexham saturday it is then, if you score 2 or more you win.

13 goals conceded in 2 games, apathy amongst the support base. I can’t wait for this season to end now.
We have the toxic combination of players woefully out of their depth or simply can’t be bothered to even do the basics anymore. We have simply given up the ghost. Hundred goals conceded now just a given. What’s the record?

You play us Saturday, a great chance to end your losing run.

Our results and performances are beyond embarrassing. Yes we've furloughed players but lets be clear, the side we are putting out right now is not scratch and not full of kids. It's made up of experienced players, many of which won the NLS title with us last season. They have capitulated, are not playing for their manager, the fans or the club and it's a shambles. The bigger picture is next season but what is happening right now will hurt that prepration no question. We are a laughing stock.

You had a brilliant start aswell though didn't you? I seem to recall after you beat us at the Shay in October/November you were near the top. I was surprised to see you only had 30 points.

Yup, we were 2nd after that win - 16 points from 8 games.

What's worrying is there were a couple of players out there last night on 2 year deals who are woefully out of their depth, one in particular playing on the wing who gave the ball away every single time until the 91st minute. For me, it's not even an issue of fitness, it's just as soon as we concede a 2nd goal heads drop all over the pitch and the captain needs to take some accountability for that because it's completely unacceptable.

Seeing a Maidenhead supporter tweet that it's 'only Wealdstone' hurt last night, even SSN were taking the piss out of the score. It's embarrassing.

Hyde conceded 119 in 2013-14 which means we'd have to concede an average 5 a game to equal that record. Famous last words but I don't think that will happen, however I dread what the score will be at Stockport on the first May Bank Holiday Monday.

10 of the squad who won 1-0 at your place to send us 2nd were in the match day squad last night and on Saturday. Pretty much the same players that took us into the play off positions are now dragging us towards one of the worst defensive records in the history of the league.

Apathy breeds apathy and there's been a narrative across the club and our fans that as there's no relegation the season and results don't matter. But it always matters - it matters reputationally, it matters in terms of season ticket sales, it matters in terms of attracting new sponsors. If it didn't matter, we would have furloughed the whole lot and fielded the 16 year olds from our academy.

Chesterfield finally having a bit of a wobble, be interesting to see how they react. Probably by signing a new team, to be fair.

Chesterfield the latest playoff hopefuls to wobble, following ourselves, Wrexham, Halifax, Stockport, Torquay (although the latter two seem to have come through theirs). A very tough next 4 games for the Spireites too. I dare say we will not take advantage.

Still feel there will be lots of twists and turns yet with a lot of the top teams still to play each other. I’m almost convinced our last game of the season with Chesterfield will decide who gets a play off spot and who misses out.

I’m pleasantly surprised that Woking kept the score down to 2-0.
I'm not. They really were poor...but we just did not come out for the second half.... and when Billy 'Look mum, I can run, but fuck all else' Waters enters the fray you just know you're not going to be anywhere near the goalmouth. How this bloke got a professional contract is beyond me.

We should have got more than the 4 we did against Woking. Its as poor a Woking side as I've ever seen, usually a tough place to go. I suppose they've just given up on the season.

I see Wealdstone fans are no longer pushing the "but our assistant was the real brains behind the operation!" line.

As our chairman said in the zoom meeting on Monday night, Stuart is having to manage the club with one hand tied behind his back, due to the constraints of reducing our spend to the end of the season.

Its the players that let everyone down last night, the fans the management and the chairman. Unfortunately when you have players that know they have no future at the club and others that don’t care where they play this is what happens. Since no relegation has been known and players furloughed effort and comm have dropped off.

119 was over 46 matches. 109 is the 42 match equivalent so you need to concede 30 or more in 8 games. Thats achievable.

Bassey has killed our chances of surpassing the mighty Hyde in both goal difference and goals against as we’ve only conceded once in the three games he’s been in charge. Spoil sport!
