Considering there’s no guarantees this season won’t end like last season I think the spending by some clubs has been staggering

Well and truly staggering I heard through in conversation we were in for Ex-Darlo Mark Beck!
Couldn't match the 1,000 a week pay-check he's allegedly picking up.

Anything in particular giving you confidence Alfreton will be that high? From the look of what you've signed don't see that much improvement from last season and Billy Heath seems to have been increasingly found out at this level.

Still deciding on my list but think Kidderminster, Telford and Alfreton will be lower, Gateshead will definitely be higher, they look like they've put a decent side together.

I was very pessimistic but We look far better than last season albeit its pre season. Some very good performances which culminated in beating the Burton first team last night 2-1. Key is steer clear of injures but we have a fairly large squad of 25 or so. Every trialist has impressed which is a good sign. Think with a good start we can have a decent season

I'm sitting on the fence with this lot this season, most definitely undecided with our early season matches. I hate to say it but I do fancy Spennymoor's chances of reaching the top 3. They are in cracking pre-season form beating Hartlepool and probably unlucky in not defeating Sunderland.

I think we will do well to finish top half this season, Boston, York and Fylde for me in that order.
Obviously hope I am wrong but cant see it happening.

Bookies have put prices up. If I knew how to add the picture I would but I don’t. Anyway we’re favourites at 4/1. York 9/2. Boston 10/1

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
It’s impossible this season is too many other factors to this one.

On paper you look to York or Boston, but I find a lot of teams struggle with a ground move at first and maybe that could hurt both and an unknown third choice may be favoured for title……but this usually is at FL level where most clubs are even and it effects the new ground side, here with big gaps between clubs quality it may have limited effect. Chester may be the one for me at top.

then covid rules will be massive……..if players test positive can they play or isolate?? Teams down here will have to rely on squads and youth which never happens at this level.

it can have major pros and cons for each club, for example Curzon with the smaller budget and squad will suffer badly from a covid positive or two, but on flip side Curzon’s location may make it easier to attain short-notice extra players than say Brackley, Boston or Blyth who may really rely on squad and youth. We may nab a local player not attached for a game or loaner from one of many clubs here.

Anyone else brave enough to make a prediction with just over a week to go?
I'll give my prediction after our final friendly at the weekend. Hopefully by then we've signed David Wheater and Andrew Nelson and I might be able to bump us up a few places.

Going to be such a tough year to call.

Will Chorley be any good?.
Have they spunked their FA Cup money on players?

Short answer is no, money has gone apparently clearing debts, as stated above I feel we are likely to be mid table at best, core of the side from last season still there just dont think we have added enough quality to push on, but that's just a personal opinion.

we have put together a good squad from what we kept and a few bargain basement buys and we have played some entertaining football in the friendly‘s . I think we will be around the playoffs again but quite a few teams will be stronger this season so it’s not going to be easy.

I think Boston are the team to win it,very experienced large squad.
York have strong 14 players but cut in budget means squad smaller.
Flyde have strong team with a lot of money behind them if get injuries.

We still haven't landed an experienced CB or the extra CF we need so I can't out us any higher. Could all change if we can land a quality CB signing on perm or loan. Feel like we're not a million miles away but the pieces we are missing are important ones.

There is a feel good factor around the club after a positive pre season and some good transfer business. Wether Billy Heath is the man to get the best out of this squad is another matter entirely. We have some really good exciting players from low down the non league structure such as George Cowan, (Thorne Colliery Bailey Hobson (Maltby Main) and Arun Jones. (Mansfield) We need to stear clear of injures for sure. Lets see where we are after 10 games
