Hereford home tomorrow.

Huge game, I think its now getting to point of win or bust.......too much f*cking about over the last 3 months with either postponements or lack of wins dragging us from 1 point off top spot to now 5 points behind the play-offs.

Too many times happy with a point or keeping it tight without thinking that the other sides are gaining 2 more points on us from the same round of games as we drop more points behind.

Good season, but change of manager has f*cked us badly this year, still a chance of top 7, but must win tomorrow or i'd say we may as well forget it and work on next year.

blooming typical, would have been going tonight and my partners back went bad so had to stay home and miss a 3-0 win....typical.

still a massive win and with southport losing and chorley not playing it was what we had to get tonight.

now need to follow it up, out of form alfreton next then teams like telford and gloucester to follow-up, need to get a winning run going.

Missed it tonight cos of illness but that was a big win tonight. After what happened at the weekend the players could easily have not turned up.

Fylde losing makes the gap 9 points between us in 3rd and them in a 4th. Looks like it could be a 3 horse race now.

Thank God Farsley are so poor otherwise this Chester side would be bang on for relegatioin. Absolute garbage tonight. Spennymoor won at a canter and we were lucky it wasn't 4 or five. Too much defensive frailty and zero attacking intent. Roll on the end of the season. I doubt Watson is the answer or whether he'll want to be here next season.

Alfreton clearly came with a game plan - frustrate, defend, time waste and try to catch them on the break. And to be fair they did all of it well.

We could have played all night and not scored. They look scared to shoot, we want to pass it into the net. Tommy O'Sullivans set pieces and corners are abysmal at the moment. Floated in and caught by the keeper pretty much all the time. An absolutely ridiculous red card for Nugent in the 95th (!!) minute of the game so another suspension. Our discipline has been atrocious this season. Please end this season already so we can bin off half of this shower.

Bit surprised by the run your on,Watson always seemed to get a reaction after a poor performance at York but never seemed to get a run of victories.
Let me guess in interviews he says training is always great, but players are mentally weak and they practise defensive drills all the time.

To be fair performances have been good generally (not tonight though) but the results haven't come. He did get a reaction after our humbling at Boston but it's gone downhill again. Very fragile confidence some of our players.

He's been praising the younger players for dragging performances up but criticising the senior ones for not leading by example, he's not wrong but whether you should be so open about it in your interviews I don't know.

Not sure what he made of tonight, for the first time he didn't show and sent McNulty out instead, who just ended up staring to the floor for most of the interview.

I absolutely agree I don't think Watson is the answer - I would imagine he'll have had a big fat wallet at York and most likely Gateshead? Is he really capable of running the show next season on a slightly lower budget?

At least your attendances are holding out another decent turnout tonight of 1,610 against a non-travelling support side in Spendymoor:

I think we can more or less say it's a battle royale between the top 3 - After we did the business tonight against Fylde: And Jekyll & Hyde Darlo play Chorley on Saturday.

Did you see his body language when the first went in after a few minutes play. I think we've broken the man.

Spennymoor had a very effective game plan, which B & J never had when they were here. Watson seems incapable of setting us up defensively. When we beat Southport 5-0 we had Roberts and youngster Burke protecting the back 4 and it worked so well that Southpoort never got a sniff of goal, but the following game he changed it.

I’d let Livsey keep that job long term and got him an experienced back up.he has such a vast playing experience around L2, conf and conf north he must surely have very good contacts around here.

Am shocked how poor Chester have been this season they looked a good title bet on paper.

Although I have found this season is all about pace, not height and strength like it has been in previous years.

Some very fast wide men in this league some fast forwards.

Wonder if that has hit Chester and York hard who have not coped as well

I would definitely say that’s why York struggled.
First thing Askey did was address the pace in team and results have picked up,believe he will get us into play offs of which Watson would of failed (unable to win back to back games with a top 2 budget under Watson)
We aren’t good enough for anything else and got a shit load of games to play.

Interested to see what happens with Watson,he seemed to sign good players but at a loss how he couldn’t get consistency.
Best thing he did for club was get Askey in.

looking at your clubs twitter feed it looks like young Stanway was one of the few positives again?

Lost 2-1 against Darlington. They’ve taken 6 points off us this season so they’ve definitely got our number. Think Bentley must be on borrowed time now. (Forum seems to be playing up for me a bit)

The owner is on holiday. Don’t know if that has anything to do with it. The premise this season to Bentley was promotion or a new job

Yes saved a penalty and has been 100% better than Gray. Still a bit raw but will learn.

So you’ve deleted my comment about people having a choice of freedom of speech?

Haway mate, don’t be so pedantic. As long as comments don’t condone violence etc, what’s your beef?
In fairness if I ran a website and someone started leaving posts suggesting (directly or otherwise) that people should move to a different site I'd be fairly miffed about it as well.

In fairness if I ran a website and someone started leaving posts suggesting (directly or otherwise) that people should move to a different site I'd be looking into reasons why, taking feedback on board, changes to address criticisms and communicate what was or wasn't happening and the reasons why. Not putting my fingers in my ears screaming lalalalala and deleting posts and threads pretending it didn't exist.

Is there really any reason why you have responded to my 'devils advocate' post in the way that you have? Sarcastically embedding my point into your own post seems to me to be very much a passive agressive approach. I come in peace and was just trying to explain why the site officials may have taken issue with some of the posts that have been made.

Curzon sign Connor Dimaio from boston, he’s played for them abit this season but is a creative midfielder so probably won’t suit cox.

Boosting our attack this week clearly we are going to have a stab at play off.

Got to follow up that fantastic win midweek at alfreton who are in poor form but we have struggled badly vs the big strong direct clubs…….we try to adapt to counter it than try and turn game to our style and force them to adapt and backfires each time.

Hopefully with it now hitting crucial time of year we just go for it there and take game to them.

Chester have opted for a 5-5-0 formation to try and get a 0-0. I see it failing.
