We were unlucky today, certainly deserved a point and had a good go at Gateshead. Individual mistakes cost us, mind you, we are the two top scoring teams in the league so I suppose goals were guarenteed, if only we could defend.

The goal that made the difference, their fourth, was saved but the linesman ruled it to be over the line but not convinced it was. Nobody appealed for it and everyone was surprised. Their celebration of it looked like a guilty one.

Very frustrating game today and a strange one at the very least, unsure whether I've ever witnessed Darlo miss 2 penalties in one game? If they'd have got a third I'd have took the fucker myself, unbelievable!

I think this game was the one that got away, once we weathered the early Alfreton pressure in which they probably had a couple of good chances of taking the lead in the first 15 minutes or so. We gradually took control of the game in which ourselves should have definitely taken the lead before half-time through Cassidy whether it was his other chance or his penalty miss. Argh, fuck sake!

I was somewhat surprised in Mondal not putting his penalty away he looked up for it after grabbing the ball, just wasn't to be Darlo's day in front of goal. And once again similar to Leamington Tommy Taylor had very little to do all afternoon.

It's a shame McHale came on late he looked decent with just 10 minutes left. Lawlor was outstanding and Moke is a masterstroke signing from AA.

Overall a decent point with a few players missing that didn't travel with one thing or another.

Looking bleak for Guiseley, some tough games coming up for them. We play them at Meadow Park Saturday, must win for us. I think if we get three points that's us good.

I think you've just put another nail in there relegation coffin. They unfortunately look doomed.

Feels very quiet on the forum at the moment...

Just to say in the top 6 divisions, only Liverpool have lost fewer games than Brackley this season.
3 defeats in 36 games and 24 wins... and still only a 50/50 chance of automatic promotion.
Can't remember us ever beating Leamington at their place.

Got to say Brackleys record this season has been phenomenal, to be that solid defensively all season you don't normally see it at this level it's far more common to see the highest scorer at or near the top of the league. Its a properly interesting title race Brackley the miserly 1-0 merchants and Gateshead free scoring and without doubt one of the best front 3's this league has seen in a while, can see them struggling to keep hold of Langstaff and Scott whether they get promoted or not. For the neutrals I hope it goes down to the wire and really couldn't call it either way.

Behind that Fylde, Kidderminster and Chorley seem to be settling into their playoff places which just leaves an almighty scrap for the final 2 playoff spots. Think we'll have a better idea who the really challengers will be at the end of Easter Monday but at this point could be anyone from 6th to 11th. Expect it to go down to the final game of the season just hope we're still in with a shot at that point.

Very disappointed not to have won that today. Cruising three quarters of the way through the game at 2-0. Dackers misses a fairly simple chance to make it 3-0 and the wheels came off somewhat aided by a poor referee, who could have sent 2 off and missed so many niggly fouls by Kiddy players. I didnt't see their first but reading that it was a error by Gray. We've thrown away a shed load of points like that this season.

Happens too often with Gray I'm afraid, wasn't the best ball back to him in fairness but it was another howler. Then the misfortune to concede the second whilst trying to replace an injured Waters whilst temporarily down to ten. Cross came from that side as well.

Not the best game with few chances but really frustrating to be two up and cruising and then end up dropping two points in that fashion.

Bad day at the office today with a shocking display from the lads. If not the worst performance of the season enlighten me if there's another? No doubt they'll be another one, also no favours from other clubs in beating our play-off rivals.

Unless we can pull off a miracle result up at Gateshead I think we can safely say the play-off dream is finally over, saying that this is a typical unpredictable Darlo team we are talking about.

Let's be honest here Curzon weren't really in good form coming into today's game, but they played well and thoroughly deserved taking all three points. Darlo were absolute garbage we just couldn't get out of first gear.

Also play got halted for a few minutes removing dog shit! I think they removed the wrong shit.

Onwards to Gateshead on Monday!

We lost at Kettering thanks to a penalty given for Dawson heading the ball. Enough said. We still haven't had a penalty given to us all season.

Biggest game of the season on Monday at home to York. We are picking some of the best results under Billy`s tenure at the moment. We have never beaten York at home so this would be a great time to start and with our remaining fixtures we cant be ruled out from the play off race.

Brackley = 3 consecutive away draws. 5 goals in 7 games. You never know, but can you see Gateshead dropping points now?
Would like to think goals will come, but they are taking their time! Gateshead only need to drop two points and BTFC stay winning. If they weren`t cup finals before Leamington, they sure are now. Exciting time.

Been a while since I posted but Harriers have been all over the place form wise. Can't see us going up as we can't win away at the moment. Frustrating but injuries and tiredness post cup run have definitely hit us hard it seems.

Friday was a perfect example of our away form. Chester looked very comfortable at 2-0 and only took their keeper gifting the ball to Morgan-Smith for us to score, that wakes the fans up Chester drop back an extra 2 yards and we grab the equaliser thanks to the Chester left back going for a header and missing the ball and leaving Sterling free to volley home.

Draw probably fair overall but gotta say the stewarding and policing was horrendous. They allowed a single Chester fan to run over the Harriers fans and goad them for what must have been close to 2 minutes. Police and stewards just standing there not doing.

After a minute that starts winding up the Harriers fans and a few of our fans then try to go on the pitch. Was an easy situation to manage that nearly got out of control. If it was a group of Chester fans I'd sbe more sympathetic but 1 could've been dealt with quickly.

Result felt like it was a second thought though after another suspected ACL injury for Cliff Moyo on his other leg. Absolutely gutted for him after the joys of the Saturday before when he scored in front of the North stand on his first game back at Aggborough to another potential 9 months out.

Agree the dickhead who came on the pitch should have been grabbed quickly and thrown out the ground, as for the rest we really should have won that game as we were cruising until our keeper gifted you a goal back. we Played two youngsters as centre backs Friday due to injuries they have never played together as a pair before but kept your forwards from having a single shot on target until the clanger late on, hope all goes well for your lad who went off injured.

We're on -3 and should have have wiped that out but for another GK gaffe and missed chances. Steve has managed to get rid of most of the crap that B & J signed in the summer. We're one of the top scoring sides , but only one team worse than us defensively. Youth team player Harrison Burke has been a revelation, but wouldn't have got a look under B & J. Need an overhaul during the summer.

Gateshead losing 2-0 at present.

If Brackley want to win the title it is looking like today or never

Erm... never
Can`t disagree now - two nil Easter matches ( will call them 0-0 draws because Boston`s winner should never have stood, after a blatant push on Wes York). Where is Aaron Williams when you need him?? Not enough goals, and despite the best defence in the top six divisions, those lack of goals are killing us. Home advantage in the playoffs hopefully, but will need a huge Lift to go again and get up. And hopefully no penalties!

That second half today earned Gateshead the title.

Looking sorted mostly at the top now apart from 7th spot which half of the league can still effectively get……going to be some very disappointed sides come end of season.

5 goals in the last 8 games... not a surprise, but our knack of nicking one seems to have warn thin. Hope we don't meet Boston in the playoffs. And as I've mentioned before - I've seen Brackley lose 6 times now in the playoffs, so not high hopes, but home advantage may help

Not a chance you'll make the playoffs with where you are plus goal difference

All we can do is keep winning. Judging by your alarming inability to defend set pieces your place is far from garunteed.

Its been a great Easter Weekend for us no doubt.
Next up Leamington, who seem to be on the beach. Only 1 goal in their last 6.

Our squad is made up of mainly lightweight players with the hearts of mice, we have no bottle and can't defend or control games and the games we do win are usually when the opposition have missed bucket loads and we break late on. We need a full rebuild
