Good start to season, online ticket sale crashed fans queuing out of door for a ticket.
Absolute piss take of a club and York council 8 years late in completing and can’t even get safety certificate done.
Glad I bought a season ticket.

I feel for your social media person and people working in the ticket offices. Not going to be a fun day for them. Lots of angry Harriers and York fans.

I can only apologise to you, total shambles, can’t get my head round how you didn’t get 200 to sell through your web site.
Seeing how hard it was this end you lot didn’t have a chance of getting many tickets.
Only saving grace we have sold extra season tickets today pushing us well into 1300 season tickets and hospitality sold out ranging from £32 to £42 a ticket.
£42 for pub league football is quiet incredible and can hold over 400 in hospitality boxes.

Surely won't go ahead if it's as many players as suggested.

This is a stark reminder that covid hasn’t gone away and this is going to be another stop start season, first Jonno being very ill and now four players testing positive ,not a great start to the season. At least we haven’t spent this and next years budgets on a shit or bust attempt to get promotion this season:fish:

Am a little surprised.

I knew covid would play a big part of season but expected it would be teams just got on with it and squads became important.

If we are going to postpone on covid break outs we will never get season started. It is rife everywhere at present however some press try and dress it up.

I’m afraid it’s about the contact with other players who now have to isolate not just the players who have tested positive, after the 16th I believe only people who test positive will have to isolate so things might get a bit easier fingers crossed.

You better hope he scores 50 goals then because Cassidy will struggle to get 3 all season, awful striker.
Most York fans looked out for your scores last season because maguire had massive potentia, this season it will be to see if Cassidy even starts.

We've forgotten all about Maguire now we have Nelson.

Seriously there's no point playing this season for any of you boys and girls now. Just hand us the title already.

Good signing for Kettering in picking up Claudio Ofosu after his release from us.

It's a sensible decision albeit I'm sure very frustrating for both sets of fans who wanted to watch football again. For once the league has been fairly sensible, they haven't packed August with fixtures. In reality even If you had to isolate for 10 days from (yesterday?) You'll only miss one fixture. Could be rearranged for a mid week before the end of August and you're caught up again. And like you say post 16th August there'll be no isolation for the double jabbed just because of potential contact with a positive case.

having just experienced this delta variant in the last 2 weeks I can guarantee there is jack sh*t they can do to frankly stop this one spreading around and if they want to finish this season they will have to let sides get on with it using what they have.

my partner caught it 2 weeks back no symptoms on the Monday went into hospital to work, a tickle in throat Tuesday thinking nothing of it went on buses, in supermarket, in Costa’s. Wednesday was a blocked nose and only in afternoon did it feel funny so a home test done which showed positive then finally isolated after probably infecting who knows how many.

I got mine while self isolating and caught it doing daily tests (they do work if done right) but took me 2 days from a positive home test to show any symptoms.

mots infectious for 2-3 days where you get no symptoms if we are gonna postpone on every outbreak season will never be finished.

Going to be a very tough opener for us. York look like they'll definitely be one of the title challengers. But we've not lost at our last 5 visits to York. I'd take a draw right now honestly

All falling to Covid.

Gutted was properly looking forward to being back on the terraces. Not sure what this will mean for our game against Brackley next Saturday.

*We've not lost in our last 6 visits to York:woo:

Sounded like a very good game, seemed after a poor start to second half we dominated after the equaliser. Sam Austin is honestly up there as one of the best in the league. Only took 5 managers to realise he's a number 10

Good game today, thought you looked good and will be challenging.
We desperately need some defenders back 3 of normal back 5 injured and only 1 looks like returning soon.

Decent point at Southport although we took the lead twice. We were missing 5 first teamers so hopefully bodes well but we'll see. Would like to see the penalty decision for Southport's first equaliser, looked very soft.

I was stood level with your player when he handled it, the ball was rifled at him but it did hit his arms and his arm was away from his body at about head height. I've seen them given, also seen them not given.

Gloucester were the better side first half, moving the ball quickly with player movement causing us problems, and deservedly went in 2-1 up at HT. Second half was a different kettle of fish, we changed from 5-3-2 to 4-3-3 and barely gave them a touch. Unfortunately a few of our chances fell to Jack Bainbridge, who struggles to control, kick or head a ball. Josh Hmami looks a promising signing for us, and Connor Woods handled the physical side of the game much better than previously and caused Gloucester no end of problems.

I'd imagine the injuries to your defence helped us. We do have a thing about ruining stadium openings so it probably wasn't the best time to play us.

First game back as well we've in all probability lost out on a bit of substantial revenue. Absolutely gutted well and truly would have had a decent crowd....

Every club gets injuries it’s the amount of kids on bench the problem, thought Penn played it brilliant yesterday came with a game plan and worked, you looked a good strong team.
York on the other hand was poor with and without the ball but do look a big threat with 3 attacking players.
Big plus only 2K in ground but atmosphere was great and East stand is fantastic, just need club and council to stop pissing around and get it fully open.

How has Carrington been for you so far?

Solid if unremarkable but I feel that's the role he's playing. Keeping everything ticking over. He's being used as a holding CM at the moment. Still way to early to judge really but looks like he's a good player

Does seem you had a good 15 minute spell after half time then we changed system to a 3 back to counter your 3 forwards then we grew into the game and controlled the rest of the second half
