Yusifu Ceesay in for us from Alfreton. I think in our game at Aggborough he missed a couple of big chances, but seemed to be a bit of a handful. Hopefully was just an off day for him in terms of end product and he can step in on the wing for us. We'd offered Sterling a new contract, but wondering if he might be looking to move on with us making this signing.

Good signing. Has pace to burn but his end product can let him down at times.

Alfreton have moved quickly to find a replacement bringing in Brad Dockerty from Bradford PA. Arguably their best player. Happy with this.

Mid table would be a good season for York. I can’t see any higher than that tbh

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Mixed bag for Curzon in terms of squad this summer.

Kept on about 9, kept their top scorer, have at least a basic spine of side, most kept on played 25-40 games (part time stats don’t usually play all games)

But lost most of our dangerous players, lost McKay and Thomas who when on their game were very dangerous.

On plus side we have a solid base, I am hoping with Oldham and Stockport it may mean some good loaners and with altrincham going full time we may nab a couple of strong part time Manchester players.

But I still have zero confidence in manager although at least now he can build his own team than try and make use of someone else’s.

But need to not start as we ended, with 4 relegation spots it is much tougher now for the smaller sides here.

Some good players been released by York today.

Josh King- centre back good player but struggled with injury and banned for betting.Newcastle based so could see him at Blyth,Darlo,South shields def worth a contract.

Matty Brown- big solid centre half could walk into most teams.Liverpool based so would be great for Chester.

Kurt Willoughby- Good striker will score at this level we just played him on wing but would of kept him.

Sean Newton- prob go to Buxton

Clayton Donaldson- Legend, top scorer and can def do another season

Jake McKay - signed from Curzon fast and hard working winger.

Maybe we can sign McKay back.

Seen your manager was ruthless but I can understand why. Unlike Gateshead York really did very little over the season but just turned up at the end when it mattered, would lack confidence on the step up with players that never stood out at this level

I'd have Matt Brown back here in a heartbeat, would be very happy if we signed Willoughby too given we only have one striker signed on.

To be honest McKay struggled to hold down a place in team but a good squad player.
Agree we didn’t do anything special over season but from Jan was 2nd in form table, but that is down to Askey only.
Plus he got lucky,Matty Brown got injured in April and he put a young lad in (Sanders)at centre back and we hardly let a goal in since, plus John Lewis found his scoring boots 6 goals in last 7 games.
We should average 4500 next season and should be aiming for a top half finish.
Askey and ground has brought momentum to club and feel good factor is back.
Just hope better player offered contracts sign them because at the moment we don’t have contracted players.

Brown,Willoughby and McKay would be good for any team that way.

We've signed Tom Owen-Evans from Hereford. Really pleased with that signing... Mostly just to see the reaction from Hereford fans after we've nabbed their best player :2thumb:

A fan who has currently got both of our signings correct seemed to hint were signing someone from Darlo :dk:

Can’t imagine who as we’ve got contracted players, ones we’ve released wouldn’t be good enough for you either

That's a very modest expectation. I'd expect top 3 at the very least.
With Askey in charge you won't have to try and buy the league like Wrexham have tried and failed yet again.

Unless you’re paying a fee, then I’m stumped.

Don’t even think we have players based down that way or even round Manchester etc, most of our players are Leeds based and upwards.

We do have cash from the Cup run but I'd be surprised if we were going to throw money at players.

Made the first couple of signings at Curzon, snapping the best performers from the lower league Manchester clubs so far. One from Mosley one from new mills, neither been this level yet.

I can only think of Nathan Lowe, who we had on loan from South Shields. He’s Blackpool based I think.

Confirmed, Nathan Lowe has signed for Kidderminster.
Guessing the pull of Full-Time football has swayed it. Good luck to him.

Absolutely no chance top 3. You’re underestimating the league. Any higher than 10th and they’ve had an very good season

Once again, Darlo fans show why they are ridiculously good at what they do.

£107,000+ and counting towards the budget for the next season, I didn't think we'd get anymore than 90/100k. Simply outstanding.

Still got 1 day left, I think we will hit the target and a little bit more.

Still seems a fair trek unless he's relocating. Is he any good?

I'm surprised he's still getting a gig at this level, let alone full time football with yourselves. He's a bit of a show pony who hides his lack of overall ability with occasionally decent long-range shots. He must have a good agent to have got some of the moves he's had since we released him.

Alfreton have signed young 20 year old startlet Lewis Whitham from Liversedge.

A very promising talent who came through the Stocksbridge Park Steels academy.

One of the stand out performers for Liversedge with 12 goals in 27 games.

Getting the same vibes as Bailey Hobson based on oppostion fans reaction. Lets see.
