Notts County sign Macauley Langstaff from Gateshead for an undisclosed fee.

Was excellent at this level last year as part of a front three with Scott and Campbell/Blackett. Think County will have to play in a similar way to get the absolute best out of him but definitely earned his chance to play higher.

Can imagine clubs will also be sniffing around Owen Bailey and Cedwyn Scott. Could make it a difficult rebuilding job for Mike Williamson in the NL. Wonder if that would ever motivate him to move on personally. Done very well with Gateshead and had them playing some great football last season.

Could Mike Williamson join him at Notts?

Another one joined us. Zak Brown ex WBA academy player who played for Alvechurch last season. 7 goals in 43 from midfield. Sounds like a decent pickup

Very quiet so far for us. No new signings but King and Armstrong have re-signed. Still waiting on Leadbitter and Thompson however...

Fantastic effort maybe you should spend a few grand on putting terracing in away end, would get more away fans if they could actually see the game.

Excellent effort from our loyal supporters but without that money we wouldn't have a team and most likely wouldn't be in this league playing NLN football. I totally get it I've stood in the away end it's absolutely pants.

Also other areas of Shitwell Meadows needs improving for match day experience for home and away fans to get a reasonable view and I can't see that ever happening spending our hard earned cash it's just simply not worth it. Majority of Darlo supporters can't stand the place.

Two more signings for Curzon, former players and very experienced at this level. Connor Hampson from altrincham and Connor dimaio from Boston…….both on their game can be very good at this level and down to Curzon to get most out of them.

First signings certainly have a theme of Curzon taking advantage of being the top part time side now in Manchester, a mix of ex Curzon players who moved higher up and now come back down to our set-up and well scouted in form performing lower level Manchester club players.

Think the tactic has been to scour the Manchester football market for its prime part time players and hope that makes as good a part time side as it did for Stockport then Altrincham.

Only difference is we wo t be able to add to at extra bit of quality or find final price of jigsaw and also we can as always lose the better performers to competition.

But that tactic should hopefully see us competitive again, it is one massive part time footballer market in Manchester if you scout it well.

Another signing for Curzon and another ex player in Ryan Hall who was superb for us a couple of seasons ago until Spendymoore flashed the cash.

Very solid Thomas replacement

Don't know what was up with Hampson last season, but he was injured for 80% of it

Maybe why back with us to get back into form, hope the injury hasn’t affected him longer term.

Curzon add another today they really did prepare for next season early signed a will hayhurst from farsley, winger seems one of their better players from reactions but will see.

Large chunk of starting 11 sorted now, forward and central defender now main targets is think.

Err Bradford PA's population should be about 300,000, I wouldn't even call it a rough estimate.

Yeah Bradford's is way out. Also our population looks way too low, but guess it's based on the boundary rubbish.

What an utter load of bollocks.
Bradford population is 366000 and BPA ground is 3 miles out of town centre.
What about Leamington ground that is 4 miles out of the town,if going on that leamington population would be 3 farms 10 people and a bloody horse.

It is hard to judge on these things.

Tameside as an area is 100,000 plus but there are 6 non league clubs all representing little areas…….great for derbies, crap for crowds.

Plus Ashton has 2 clubs for that 40,000 and the best most expensive set up side in the world is 15 minutes away.

Feel sorry for Curzon they on the whole try to play a decent attractive style of football, are playing much higher than they should, don’t do it by growing the grass and lumping it, offer £5 match tickets and kids in for free but they simply won’t come at all.

Even playing Wimbledon in FA cup was about 1000 home fans a chunk of them fans from other clubs who went for a local game.

It's all pretty meaningless. Non league clubs especially traditional non league clubs will always have to compete with the bigger teams.

Like Harriers and Leamington for example will always have to compete with West Brom, Birmingham, Wolves and Villa. Along with your usual fans of the "Big 6".

Fans also move around the country so every club will have fans dotted around different places who can't attend and fans who move to the area who have no affiliation who might go to the odd big game.

As I said caveats, but doesn't make the whole thing a load of bollocks because of a slightly odd consideration of one team does it?

Well yes and no. I take the point - I grew up in Telford where as an 'overflow new town' from the Black Country, the local team was competing against family loyalties to the traditional West Midland big teams. Also some areas have a lesser tradition of football e.g. Oxford, Poole etc.

But nevertheless, small town teams are not going to attract much support from anywhere besides the town and outlying villages... so there is only so far they are ever going to be able to get to. I wouldn't mention it... except for the routine abuse Brackley have taken on the forum for their attendances...

And in the last 5 years or so I've started to see kids in the town wearing Brackley tops - a nice change from all the Chelsea and Man City ones...

Everywhere is different, doesn’t surprise me to see someone like Spennymoor so high for example, it’s a ghost town with absolutely nothing to do there and it’s not well connected either, no rail station for example.

Chester and York on the other hand are tourist destinations where you are spoiled rotten for other things to do and are also well connected to other places nearby. Gateshead and Southport similar, whilst Brackley and Boston are rather isolated. Leamington are badly handicapped by their ground location.

Big big ouch. First I'd heard of it, though I know Ndlovu was close to leaving last year. Not surprising - but very disappointing... two of the best 5 players we have.

Think we're expecting a few losses as well. Brackley did say they're announcing signings this week as well so we'll see who they replace them with

We're also a town where people from other areas go to die, and where young people from the town leave to live. Throw in the mix of people growing up in Everton and Liverpool supporting families, and we've got an uphill struggle in terms of both attracting and keeping fans.

Brackley is about an hour from London or 45 mins from Birmingham, or 30 mins from MK. There's not a lot locally, but hardly isolated.

I've watched the crowds grow from around 200 to now around 500 a game, and it is nice to see these days the supporters aren't just old men or kids who can't go anywhere else, as was the case 15 years ago.

As virtually our only song goes..."The Banbury scum don't bother me, because I come from Brack-er-ly". It actually has gotten a little aggro in the past derbies - all rather silly, but that's football.
