Big day for us off the pitch officially opening our new £1m+ community training facility. Local resident The Duke of Westminster did the honours, he donated almost half the cost for it.

All my life we’ve lumbered from place to place for training but now we have our own place to call home during the week. Training three mornings a week next season because of it, the first step back towards full time.
The cost was more like £2m I've been reading. Mainly funded through the football trust, the Duke, local authority and other charities. We'll still have to pay to use it, but probably not as much and it will save our pitch from being overused. It was looking a bit rough last season.

It has to be this year for Fylde and Boston……too much spent at both to fail now with York out of the way and the sides coming down all looking weak.

Although do wonder with this Peterborough sports they must be splashing cash for fun because they have risen a lot in recent years but it doesn’t always work here look at spendymoor.

I’d back Bostonnow, but think I backed Boston last year, but at least they don’t suffer from new ground syndrome.

Although pace is the key, who can add good pace.

Relegation is the more interesting this with 4 relegation spots now, a big failure in summer could see a real tough slog.

Sorry to say but the hobby club will piss it,
Boston lost 2 best players but signed more Cox route on players.
Watch out for Buxton they will be around top.

I wouldn't say Sports are a money club - they nearly went to the wall a couple of years ago - they can attract cast offs from say Boston United/Lincoln City and some of the better players from the lower leagues.

Spalding brought in a few ex-Peterborough players a year or so back but they were friends of the then manager, all moved on now. They wouldn't afford to pay them much with crowds of around 200(Sports get around 300 -400)

I agree with the above comments that say it's probably between Fylde and Boston. Would like to think we'd be competing but it feels more likely we'll be in the play off hunt. Expect Brackley will be in the play offs again even with losing a few players.

On the three that left yesterday, I think it was generally expected that Bajrami and Sterling would probably be moving on anyway - I think Ceesay was always coming in as Sterling's replacement. Austin is not totally surprising because he's been linked with moves upwards for the last year or so anyway. It sounds like this has been going on in the background for a little while so I suspect Tom Owen-Evans is his replacement. Probably still need another centre back or two, some cover for the full backs, a defensive midfielder, another winger as Jaiden White has also left and maybe a striker to compete with Morgan-Smith and Freemantle.

My comment was indicating that prior to them losing their most recent players, Kiddy had a really good team with a crazy front line. Boston need to replace Elliott for goals. Fylde still have Rowe at the helm, what's the latest with his investigation...?

It doesn’t matter about losing key players it will happen for all clubs here over a season. It is always about the replacement, Kidderminster are in a good area to find replacements if they can they will compete.

Last summer York, Boston and Chester looked very good on paper all were bland or poor for large chunks of season.

Improvements at this level can be an over the season thing than a summer thing.

Chester hardly looked good. The recruitment by B & J was the worst in their time at the club.

Brackley, Chorley & Banbury yet to make any new signings as far as I can see.
Didn't realise you had signed Kole Hall from us. Looked vey interesting in theory when we signed him last year, but didn't work out. Hard-working, but pretty average ball control and couldn't score. He fluffed a stack of chances in his few starts.

Maddison is a great acquisition if he can sort his head out. Seems like his attitude and off the field shenanigans have probably led to him playing at this level.

Signing incoming for us. Hoping its Lucas Tomlinson but Yeovil fans seem very confident he's heading there. Started off a little ropey, looked very exciting but not much end product. By the last few months he was arguably our best player, banging in goals and creating loads of assists.

Four new signings for Kettering, one of those being Andre Wright. He legitimately has the best agent in the business, how is he still at this level!

Thought/hoped it would be Tomlinson but instead was Tre Mitford from Brackley. Assume he was mostly 2nd fiddle to Ndlovu there, but seems to have been scoring goals when he was at Kettering and before that at Bedford.

He'll have to be pretty bad to be any worse than Matt Green, Bernard Mensah, Dejon Noel-Williams or Benni Smales-Braithwaite who all "graced" the pitch with their presence last season.

Brackley now re-signed enough players from last year's squad to manage to put out a 5 a-side team with 1 sub.

4 good players retained, 1 also-ran, 1 reserve. All the strikers have left except one youngster who made no impact, who may have left too by now anyway - but the Brackley website is very poor (if improving) at keeping us updated.

Can't see how you can build a competitive team from that basis unless manager has some amazing aces up his sleeve

Wondering if the budget might have taken a hit?

He'll run around a fair bit & work hard. May even score a goal. I think his is lower level NN level.

Goalie Brad Wade, who came through our youth system, has joined Hereford. Since he's spent most of his career since turning pro in a series of loans at Guiseley, fans on this board may know more than me..

I`ve counted five - Lewis, Dean, Walker, Armson, Shep, plus one reserve CB and one midfielder who ran about a bit but hardly played a pass in anger all season. But who is counting. Looks like a huge rebuild unless Kevin Wilkin is playing his cards very close to his chest. The big break up of a top class side which never quite had enough self belief to get promoted.
