Our manager has won 4 league games out of 18, pathetic state of affairs

Curzon3-1 up away at Darlo great start for us.

Only positive for Darlo is your bogey game is now out the way for season

Curzon looked well drilled and strong. Annoyingly "professional" when 2-1 up...if you know what I mean.

First 20 minutes Curzon outplayed us and were deservedly 1-0 up, at this point I'm thinking we're getting stuffed here.

Then we got back into it and to be honest I thought we were all over Curzon for the 2nd period of the first half and the 1st period of the 2nd half.

We missed two absolute sitters at 1-1, if either of those had gone in I think the match would have played out differently.

Then Curzon go 2-1 up from (IIRC) a corner - they looked dangerous on set pieces and crosses throughout to be honest. Or maybe our defence is just shite, I dunno?

At 2-1 down we managed to hit the bar, so another spurned chance, and then Curzon were able to roll around on the floor a lot and take the sting out of the game. I was fuming to be honest but then I'd love it if Darlo did that away.

Just to put the icing on the cake we decided to gift wrap a 3rd goal for Curzon in injury time.

We're going nowhere because we're just not professional enough. I'd be surprised if we get out of that 10th-14th zone.

You ever been happy about anything?

Supporting this club for the last 5 years has been pure misery. We won yesterday, not often we get this feeling so enjoy it

Back when we had proper managers and owners

But we won with an own goal and our Top fans had a scrap in Tamworth Town Centre so we’re all supposed to be happy

You have to question jist how much longer Southport are going to go on with their manager.

Their form in 2023 has been shocking and that was a dreadful start

Our manager is also on our board and is unlikely to vote himself out of his job.

We've lost 9 league games on the trot now (obviously including last season). The manner of yesterday's defeat was awful, basic errors cost us goals then we just gave up.

I can see it turning nasty really quickly if we don't get results soon. The goodwill towards Liam Watson is fast running out. We go to Alfreton next and we rarely to well there. Spennymoor away after that isn't easy either.

The start of this season is mirroring last year with six first team players out for the Kings Lynn game on Saturday, we have a smaller squad at the moment as well.

How Bottega Don can single anybody else out for being miserable with some of the depressing shite he posts on the other forum is beyond me.
Easily the most miserable wet blanket poster I’ve ever come across on any forum I’ve ever been on.

An interesting game for Curzon this one , more so than last week which was much tougher on paper but the last two seasons games vs the poorer expected to struggle sides have murdered our seasons as we constantly failed to win any of them and the extra 10-20 points flogged off the poorer sides would have seen massively different seasons.

On paper should win it, now need to finally start delivering

Shane initially said six but it went up to seven out on his next tweet!

Christ, what a start again, lump on King's Lynn tomorrow.

Here is hoping for a win away at Farsley, we usually struggle there but really ought to be good enough to win if we are to have any aspirations this season.

May be heading for smallest first home match crowd at this level.

10 mins to kick off downpour rain at wrong time and looking at best 100 people here. Pitch is perfect so no risk of game off.

Club just doesn’t get any local backing it’s a shame

Well that was 75 minutes of turgid negative borefest before 20 frantic minutes.

First half was drab, just two sides teasing having a go and never commuting and this creating next to nothing, but Curzon grabbed the lead through a great 25 yard free kick……harsh on rushall but way it goes.

Second half curzon decided the approach of no strikers at all would be great and rushall finally had a go, dominated and deservedly levelled, could easily have got another before FINALLY curzon decided ‘hey we are at home suppose we may put some prople up front ‘

Last 20 minutes we created a lot and could have won it but we deserve to flog the game for being so hideously negative for so long in the game

They must be expecting a lot of trouble at the Curzon vs Scunny game it’s been made all ticket and we frankly hardly ever do that I think can only think of Stockport games and even then I think it was segregated than all ticket.

Manchester police must have heard something happening

Once again the obvious lack of a striker means another game we failed to win, it was a turgid affair, lots of long ball,Farsley scored early, we equalized and I thought we must take at least one of the host of chances, but no, and it was a game we could easily gave lost. Quite worried about Tuesdays trip to Chester.

Could hardly believe how well we played yesterday with a scratch team. I was with the match sponsors and was asked to select the m-o-m. Nobody came near our mini marvel Ewan Murray. Lots of others played well too including academy graduate Reece Daly who made his competitive debut today. Some of the Kings Lynn players looked as though they'd just returned from a summer of trencherman contests. We also reduced the size of the pitch over the close season and it looked as though it did the trick.

A routine defeat at Alfreton for us. Same story, defensive errors cost us and we had little cutting edge up front. Now 10 defeats on the trot, and with a visit to Spennymoor on Tuesday followed by Boston at home on Saturday I can't see how we're going to end the run any time soon.

We should have been three up on Stortford but didn't take our chances, then had three rubbish decisions go against us (2 X pens for us not given and a very dodgy pen given for them which they scored from). Despite Harry Williams goal last week and his record Flowers again benched him. Playing one upfront at home needs to change, we might have a few players still out but need to be more positive. Banbury midweek has to be three points, believe we should have two of the missing players back for that

We’ve unbanned all our fans who were on a stadium ban and one of the hoolies - he loves united and was behind the locked gates protest - has become a spokesman for the new owner.

Away games won’t be pretty this year for us

It’s ok they will all be arrested and then re-banned after our game.

One of the main police hubs for greater Manchester police is located 3-4 minutes drive from Curzon’s ground, they can have a lot of police there quick.

Don't worry, we've got a long injury list and only managed to fill the bench against Kings Lynn with an academy debutant, two of the injured and George Glendon. who was making his comback after a season out injured. Look how that turned out :bg:. Mind you, your keeper and defence might not be quite as generous.

Just watched the Spenny v Tamworth highlights, who was that number 19 for Tamworth? Looked like a fan who had won a meet the team/play with the team matchday fan experience raffle.
