Looking at the team sheet I think we have gone 4-4-2 two very tricky wide players and support to spencer

May have a chance of win now

Unbelievable our game is 1-1

We've dominated and had so many chances, a couple cleared off the line and Southport's keeper has made some great saves.

Really not our day today

Looks like our best player is also injured, just can't catch a break today

Wasn’t able to go but looking like I’ve missed us smashing Chester to bits so far.

It was an extremely offensive starting line up, gamble taken and so far worked……hopefully gives us something to play at home as a counter to our excellent away set-up

One of those days for us, should've been out of sight by half time but 3 individual errors cost us goals. 1 win in 2 months and we're finally off the top

It's Curzon or Chorley's title for the taking, we won't be close to competing

Get in there, finally laid the Spennymoor hoodoo and ended their unbeaten home run, top of the table tonight, it's looking very interesting this league right now. Very impressed with Curzon too that was some win, thrashing Chester, got to keep the pressure on now boys.
Oh thank you to Southport for that favour too.

The risk for us at the moment is Mahon leaving which is going to happen sooner or later possibly even to Chester way it’s going.

Think it would be a massive mistake for him, he hasn’t yet really had to build a side or handle things going wrong so I’m not sure how he’d do elsewhere so hoping he will stay.

Very impressed by the Chorley position this season because it seemed like you lost a few players in summer and it can be hard to re build

Yes, Dave we ended up signing 11 new players as you said we lost our top 3 scorers from last season but are still top scorers in the league this season, and we aren't throwing wads of cash at the team.

We were so bad it was laughable. 4 goals presented to Curzon and a couple more nearly given away as well. Just about every player missing in action.

Curzon were good enough, without having to be great. Most of their efforts went in. We failed to create anything that would trouble their defence. That would mean finding our own players with a decent pass on a regular basis.

I'm not sure where we go from here, as I don't think McIntyre know's how to fix it.

You should have been at least a couple ahead at half-time, but we defended very well against you. We were trying to get the ball to feet up front, but that was very easy for you to defend against. As soon as we got a ball in behind your back 3 into a channel we forced a defensive error, and Danny Lloyd duly obliged.

Second half, once you scored from a long throw I thought that was the game done, but it seemed to spur us to life. A couple more balls in behind your defence and you crumbled, it was an obvious defensive weakness and we capitalised both times. After that, with the greatest of respect, you played like Alfreton. Set-pieces are our weakness, and you had loads of them, but Marcus Carver seemed to turn into a centre-back and won everything in our own box!

Tough day that and especially for Calum. Not many managers have 700 hundred fans to deal with any situation ever at this level never mind just away from home like today where he was relentlessly criticised and mocked, loudly, for nearly 90 minutes.

Honestly, today from us was as bad as you will come across.

We're really not a good side at all

We've played like Alfreton all season, we're attempting to win the title like Tamworth did but we make too many individual mistakes to do it.

We should be way better than we are with our squad and budget

I honestly felt that the best response for him at the end would have been complete silence. Was never going to happen, but it would have been the most telling, rather the unpleasant abuse.

I can't believe you lost 4-0 at Curzon, though they are proven now to be a very good side.

Your position in the table right now is as much a surprise to me as Darlo's position is.

But, there are still 99 points to play for and league positions aren't decided in October.

I watched the Chorley v Darlington match the other night and although we didn't play *that* badly actually, they were levels above us and made us look like muppets.

It's only early days, but unless Chorley get some horrific injuries to derail them, I see them being right up there through the season. A real quality outfit.

I think we've no chance of making the play-offs. We've been gash now for a Calender year, with a few od good performances and results which has papered over the cracks. No goals from open play now for about 6 games.

We need a different direction and it doesn't seem to be coming from McIntyre. Can see us finishing just above the relegation zone unless things change quickly.

Chester fans are already calling for Cal to go and Mahon to be hired, but the problem is he works at Wigan in the day-time and we train then.

And he hasn’t been tested yet turning around an unsettled squad.

Someone like Lakeland is probably a good choice, he’s been solid bringing in decent players and building a good squad, think he is too negative for winning titles he should have done better at Curzon than he did but he built a great squad at Curzon now done same at kings lynn…….he’s mercenary so he’ll leave if opportunity.

Threw away 2 points on Saturday. We were absolutely superb first half, got a 2-0 lead and should have been 3 or 4 really. Warrington never in it, looked dreadful. They then put on a walking Fridge at Centre Forward, who scared the daylights out of our centre halves and helped himself to 2 goals, despite looking like he'd struggle for pace in a Walking Football match. Soon as we let one goal in, the team just folded, and from a very comfortable game for 55 minutes, we were hanging on and indebted to some superb Jameson saves for keeping a point.

Really worried that no-one stepped up and showed a bit of leadership, especially amongst the senior pro's at the back. Hatfield missing was another big miss - Macgowan did ok first half, but once the momentum changed it was not his game. Flint tried hard again, but was trying to cover too many holes by the end.

Need to address this fragility that has crept in.

Very comfortable 6-0 win for us tonight, should've actually been a lot more. Farsley hit the post at 4-0 but I think that was their only real shot of note all game.

Back top, Curzon still in the driving seat with the game in hand though.

I remember predicting Kings Lynn to do well at the start of the year and think i've got that spot on with them in 2nd, couldn't have been more wrong about South Shields though as I tipped them too.

We're top of the league and we haven't won on a Saturday since the start of the season, that is mental

We've won every single midweek game though

So we have five clubs fly the flag for the conference north this weekend in the FA cup, seems quite a low number really, all have bloody tough games:

Notts c vs Alfreton
Braceley vs Braintree
Burton vs Scarborough
Curzon vs Mansfield
Rushall vs Accrington

Who has the best chance to get through if any??

I’m tempted to say Alfreton myself, tough on paper but they will do their usual approach and be bloody hard to break down and could nick it from a throw or corner.

Curzon for me have too tough a side even if their league form suggests best chance to perform, rushall have the best on paper league scalp but they are as poor in form in their league as Accy.

Scarborough good chance but again their form recently has collapsed while Brackley have the easiest game but have feeling they’d rather it have been away!

Hmm Curzon using their fa cup money today signed David Worrall from Barrow on loan, vastly experienced L1 and L2 central midfielder or right sided midfielder, aged 34 so should be ok this level.

Little surprised because another striker is for me the main goal but an attack based midfielder is fine, think we have him as he’s coaching Curzon youth to get his coaching badges

Always thought he was a really good player when he was at Port Vale, not sure if his legs have gone now though or not

Very tough game for Chorley today with the visit of form team Kings Lynn, we will need to be at it right from the off today. Have just signed young Fylde striker Danny Ormerod on loan to help us with our injury concerns, he comes with quite a good reputation.

This is the tough few days for Curzon league wise because two whole rounds pretty much go before we play kiddy on Wednesday.

If lucky we come out of it with 3 games in hand and only 2-3 points behind but could also possibly drop down to 8th and be 6-7 points behind.

Always think points count more than games in hand but it’s the way it falls and just have to hope is a few results go our way.

The need to really beat kiddy Wednesday to get momentum going again

Home to Radcliffe for us, we should be winning but with our saturday record it's not likely

Missing our main striker Danny Whitehall too which is a huge loss

I’ll take that today about as good as could get only Chorley and leamington won and everyone else drew or lost.
