Right at the top of the big stand by the segregation netting and some bloke who spent the whole match giving it out on his own to the Woking supporters and claiming we're already champions

Alright you had a better angle of that in that case and GTFCfish needs to sit down for sure. Thought he was letting his lad go to the football without his embarrassing dad in tow.

Where were you stood/sat? They looked like decent chances to me. I was expecting the net to ripple both times, but maybe my vantage point at around the halfway mark wasn't great. Still, I think we can agree to disagree on this and enjoy the win!
I was behind the goal for our chances in the 2nd half, would say they were only half chances from fairly wide angles.

Fully expected a 1-0 Grimsby from about 60mins in.

Well i'm glad we're not the only ones. Our "choir" singing 'we're on our way to football league' after the dizzying heights of 3rd place with 33 games still to play. Cringeworthy.

Was always likely to be a bit of a deflated performance after all the energy of Tuesday but 3 points is 3 points no matter how you take them.

Fair enough, they looked threatening from where I was. I'll say it again, great home support. Every stand looked full, not sure if that was a result of international weekend or not but it was great to be in what felt like a full stadium.

Haha our fans have we been singing that from the first game against Weymouth.

Pretty sure we'd have been singing it at the back end of last season has we been allowed to go to matches.

That was a bit of a grind at times, should have scored more, but any win gratefully received. It was nice to see we can win without Ryan Colcough.

I fear Marcus Dinanga is not a striker. Another big crowd too, never known numbers like this in all my years.

Terrible ref, liner had to be substituted and a match official plucked from the crowd. The Maidenhead keeper's timewasting was embarrassing, started half way through the first half.

The fact that we're playing for draws that early into a game says a lot about how poor we are this year.

As soon as Irving Weaver leaves/dies Harrogate will plummet back to non league obscurity. I can see Forest Green building a bit of a fanbase and being able to sustain league football even if Vince goes, simply because in that part of the world there isn't much competition.

Scunthorpe I can see going the other way. Falling into non league and if they don't get out of it in the first couple of years just disappearing. Too small a club.
You know absolutely nothing about my club you knobhead. Stop making assertions you can’t back up with valid evidence. You make me sick

I think a combination of international weekend and our recent run of form helped the crowd. Definitely one of our biggest home crowds in recent years apart from the Watford FA Cup match and Aldershot games (which we always lose as well).

He played like he had his shoes tied together against us. Could be your undoing at times. Seems like the kind of striker that needs 6 chances to score

Colclough is a bloody good player though

Yes, quite profligate in front of goal, and I think he knows it too. He looks like the confidence is leaking out of him with each of the last few games.

Colclough is ace, best player we've had in years.

Their one on ones were from narrow angles and not clear goalscoring chances. The only real chance they had came in the first half when we passed a corner to them and 30 seconds later had Tower clearing it off our line. If their number 9 was more clinical he'd have put it away. Was v obvious to see that many of our players are knackered after playing two games a week for the last fortnight and couldn't press as hard as we've done in earlier games. Still didn't matter since we controlled possession and only really had to worry when giving away silly set pieces in our own half. Should be able to rest a load of key players next weekend and then get back to firing on all cylinders against Yeovil.
“Could tell we were knackered after playing two games a week for a fortnight”

now..I’m not taking away that you edged a good, even game, and were the best side I’ve seen so far this year…but…you realise we’ve also played games in the last couple of weeks right?
Erm, perhaps have a look at our last few fixtures and then tell me we’ve been sitting around on our arses with cigars and hookers while your brave heroes have been fighting Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder one-on-one for 14 days.

lmao calm down m8 we play an intense high press which wasn't quite as full on today cos McAtee, Taylor and Hunt all look like they need a break, it's got nothing to do with how many matches Woking's players have played

Haha! Calm? I’m cooler than The Fonz about today. We had a go, and nearly beat/held the greatest Champions-Elect in the whole history of football to a result.
I tug my forelock to the mighty Mariners and am only sorry that your well-paid professional players had to play football games before they faced knackered and depleted Woking, and I cannot emphasise enough just how apologetic I am that your superstars were mildly inconvenienced by our plucky NL cloggers.
