Sutton was down for a good 2, so the ref got it right.

Tranmere virtually did everything they had to, got the goal and were compact for 52 minutes.

Boreham Wood were very poor for most of that, they may have had decent possession in the middle but their play in the final third was poor - trying to force everything rather than create a bit of space. Saying that, first bit of space created and the first intelligent ball (from Woodards?) has given a goal.

Thing is I'm really not convinced by Doe and Champion as the wide centre backs, neither look really comfortable in a 1v1 out wide (the Tranmere goals exploited the space outwide on the left) and if Tranmere go on and win it, my money is that it'll come from wide.

Fancy Wood though, all three subs made already for Tranmere, looking at another 45/75 with 10 men, no extra legs to push in behind Wood on the counter if the game becomes more stretched later.

It is a damn shame Boreham wood will probably go up, a club which should be no where near the FL (bankrolled club which adds absolutely nothing to the League apart from handful away supports)

but if ever a first half is saying to you as a supporter 'it is simply not your day' you would say that first half for Tranmere fans here....red card at the start, injury and then a goal against deep in injury time.

I don’t think Tranmere can have too many complaints, though B’Wood could have some cards for diving. Tranmere have been seriously unlucky with the injury though. Why did Ginnelly go off - has the bottle hurt him that badly?
