It's called history.

Nice to see you admit that complaining about the BT Sport schedule is pointless though, maybe you'll pack it in from now.
There grounds with character and then theres yours, depressing and must be costly to keep on botching up every season. By the way once you are promoted you wont be big men in league two and will barely feature live on tv

In all honesty, who would want to watch a Gateshead game on TV? They don't have the fanbase who'd watch from afar, they don't have an atmosphere anyway and I doubt it could be made better with mics spread out. It was alright in the playoff game but that's because there were 6000 Geordies also there.
People like me who no longer live in town. Your antique ground dont make good viewing either

Mainly because League Two doesn't get as much live coverage as this division.

You been like its not in too bad a area, lovely pub round corner. The ground is well maintaned, no rotten bogs, leaky roofs or roofs covered in pigeon shit.

9 teams have us to thank for their highest league attendance this season.

We take 800 away fans ON AVERAGE.

And Braintree can justify 600 tickets? Unbelievable, absolutely unbelievably stupid. I see some Braintree fans are justifying it as 'well that's what we got'. Which is bit like a kid with no arms getting a bike for Christmas because that's what his brother got.

Don't you think posts like that are why so many supporters of other clubs find the attitude of those supporting the big boys so utterly pompous?
So what if you're average away support is 800, what's that got to do with anything, they are giving you 600 tickets 30% of their capacity give or take and on the assumption there will be a lot more there than Saturday (1800) it's a guaranteed sell out, and I find it astonishing just on the premise you get brilliant crowds you think that gives you a devine right to have more and presumably at the expense of those supporting the home crowd. I get the fact that you would probably take 1000+ but frankly that's nonsense.

It's like when we go to FGR Sat, apparently we have been given no seat allocation whatsoever, which is fine for the majority who prefer to stand anyway, but I am sure this decision will also now deter many of the clubs senior citizens and younger children (as a little community club we have many of both) from travelling which in the biggest day in our history I think is really unfair, and if there are empty seats am sure much criticism will ensue, but Braintree is going to be a sell out surely you understand why their supporters come first, however frustrating it is for you guys.

Braintree have given an allocation of 600 because that's what Grimsby have given them.

Been where? The Gateshead International Stadium? No mate. Not really interested in going to a stadium where I need binoculars to see the Acton. No thanks.

Gateshead's can't be as bad as the Don Valley when Rotherham were there. It took the players 10 minutes to walk from the tunnel to the halfway line.

The Don Valley was a depressing place to watch football, but at least you could see the pitch. The International Stadium, you need a telescope. A fucking big one.

If Braintree sell out their ground I'll turn up to our next game in a Scunthorpe shirt.

Last week was a huge game for Braintree and they got 1800, are you honestly telling me that, that is going to increase by about 150% ?

My issue with it is, Braintree appear to have given us less because we gave them 600, despite knowing they'll get nowhere near 600.

Think folk are exagerating about views at international stadium, far worse views at places like kenilworth road witn loads of supporting pillars. Unless you get decent seats at newcastle united the views are far worse than at gateshead

Cant recall any in my 25 year watching football. I hope neither dover or braintree get promoted. Will be sad day for league two when theres a part time team in it

Maybe if that happens then it will make people realise that whilst the top of the pyramid is awash with cash so little of it filters downwards.
Especially on stadiums. If braintree go up they will surely have one of worst stadiums in league

I have just watched a clip on YouTube about West Ham and the move to the Olympic stadium, which will hold around 60k supporters. If you think that the Emirates already holds that amount, as will the Tottenham and Chelsea stadiums if they are built, it just shows how much interest there is at the top level and that is just London teams. I have been to quite a few of the stadiums in the lower two divisions of the Football League, fewer in the top two divisions, and whilst there are one or two gems there are plenty that need a bit of updating. Most, but not all, of the National League grounds would need a bit of work on them to get up to an average division two standard.

Where are you getting 30% from? Their website says the current capacity is over 4,000?

I agree with what you saying but poor grounds do exist in top two tiers, everton, crystal palace, leeds, brentfords grounds have seen better days

Why have forest green not given us a proper terrace for Saturday's game?

Because you don't deserve a terrace you won't sell out. We'll pretty much sell out those 3 sides I think the wet terrace has a capacity of 1000 so you'll have plenty of room, bring a raincoat.

Probably the main reason is to create an atmosphere for the fgr fans and try to silence the Dover Fans!

Dover or Braintree in my mind are favourites, Dover have the best form I think, their 2nd 11 only just lost to FGR so playing a full strength team they should probably win easily. Braintree just don't seem to concede and with Grimsby nearly always bottling the play offs and the constant changing in their side I don't think they'll do it.

I have to agree with this, I underestimated Braintree's form but those two are favourites for me. I hope Grimsby win it though.

Interesting to see how costly losing 3rd spot could be for Grimsby, I wouldn't like to go to Braintree after a tight first leg. Quite possible they'll need to do the job at home.

Why? No offence but the more unhappy you lot are the better for us, the less noise you make the better, its the play offs and we should do everything we can to win.
