Congrats Grimsby, back where you belong.

Did Paul Hurst cup his ear to the Grimsby fans after that third goal? I know he's taken a lot of shit, but that's a bit much!
looked like it to me - what an odd reaction.

The chairman is coming across as an idiot now

Thank fuck. Get in Grimsby.

Good luck Forest Green next year though, in going bust.

Hurst: "There will be a lot of people celebrating out there who don't deserve to."

What a cock

Nah, they have to be the favs for the title next year, though it depends on how many new faces they bring in. As for Vince, I don't see him walking away anytime soon, so it's safe to say they'll be up there again next year.

2k FGR fans is shocking for a game this important - even we would easily take 10,000 as would a good half the teams in the league...
Look despite all the jesting you have to admire Dale VInce for pushing for a greener future and being a man who sticks to his principles but that picture must say to him that FGR have come as far they ever can. Sure other sides have small attendances but they are from bigger connurbations with local rivals to snatch the floating supporters. If FGR took every single person from their village to Wembley it would still be less than half of what Hednesford will be taking to the FA Vase final next week. A club that is all about being green and sustainable doesn't have a hope of ever being self sufficient as a football league club.

Watchnig the Cod Heads implode would have been funny but the FL has reclaimed a FL club. Grimsby fans have had a 5 year sentence in this divison and it is about time they are let out on parole so well done.

P.S that Parkin assault on its own was enough to want them to lose.

Congratulations Grimsby. Wanted FGR to win for the local derbies but tbh I'm not feeling sorry for them at all.

Sadly yes. Just wishful thinking on my part.

I couldn't care what Hurst says anymore. He's got us up and that's that.

I have no particular fondness for Grimsby, and am total ambivalent towards FGR, but agree with that.

Now let's see how Grimsby get on the FL, I suspect they will be back sooner rather than later.

Will miss both of the Grimsby games next season, hopefully we'll be following you up next season. Suppose the positive is that a 'proper' team went up rather than a plastic bank rolled team.

Wonder when Forest Greens owner will lose interest and leave the club in millions of debt?

Good stuff Grimsby, well done.

Hurst really going after some of the fans in this interview though.

That picture throws the cold harsh light of day the emptiness at the heart of the "money" club projects and absolutely shames the FA who allow this nonsense to continue. I have no problem with the little teams being successful when they've earned it but clubs like FGR, Eastleigh, North Ferriby, Solihull etc are no better, or indeed different to those athletes who take performance enhancing subtstances in order to cheat the real athletes out of their true and just rewards.:£:£:£

Congrats to the Mariners. At last after missing out in play-offs three successive seasons.

Btw, commiserations Pliny, but don't give up yet! As long as Vince is at the helm, you lot will always be challenging for promotion ;)

Cheers. It's been pretty difficult jumping from a Halifax Town team who were on the cusp of survival after that 1-0 win at the New Lawn, to an excellent but despondent FGR team on the cusp of promotion, only to watch my new side fail on the final hurdle.

These things do put you off to be honest, and that's why from this point forward I am revoking my support for Forest Green, and going back to watching the Shaymen. Having not paid attention to them since 23rd of April I'd be interested to see whether we beat Macclesfield and survived the other week. Does anybody know what happened that day?
