I'll try and be quite active on this thread now i'm starting to take little interest into Weston-Super-Mare games. Whitehawk next, seems like they're good because they are 3rd in the league and we're in the relegation spots. Doesn't look like we'll win the match.

Good stuff. Always liked going to Weston. Stuffed them 6-0 down there two seasons ago. That was a great day and night.

Ta pal, there were meant to be a few of us going but those morons at IRB headquarters putting the RWC final at 4pm have scuppered that plan. If I see you I'll get you whatever cider is on draught, although it may be hard to find me amongst the 150 800 away supporters that will be there.

I'm fully expecting a defeat, especially given that Michael Corcoran will likely start in the centre of midfield. :surr:

What time you looking at getting in? Pop up the Castle pre match if you have the time. If not I'm sure I'll see you in the ground! Message me your number or something 'cause I tend not to go on forums on match day.

Michael Corcoran. Lolz. Headless chicken springs to mind.

I really rated Corcoran when he played for us (old club)! He seemed like he had great potential to be a really good defender. Definitely a defender over defensive midfielder, though he could do a job when asked.

Yeah, I expected him to be half decent having heard decent reviews about him in the past. Certainly another case of not living up to potential!

I'm not a fan Jemfy, I've seen him just the once at centre half (opening day of the season at Bath) and he looked incredibly indecisive when in possession. I'm not sure what he brings to a team in all honesty.

Rumour mill (through a family friend) that we've signed Matty Harriott from Hemel. Nothing official yet so we'll see if that's confirmed. Seems to stack up from reading the Hemel forum.

We conceded a goal (to Ben Greenhalgh of course) :ohm:

But we won anyway, 2-1 at Concord. Woot!

Up to 3rd in the league now :bg:

Really dont understand whats going wrong at Margate. They got a proven manager at this level who spent a lot of money in the summer.....but their really struggling

I had them pegged to be title contenders :eye:

Buzzing... fucking buzzing! I went in hope more than expectation today.

Ebbsfleet United 2-3 Wealdstone (Att: 1121)

I can't be bothered to type up a full on match report. Ebbsfleet looked there for the taking down the sides which we did with some success. Matty Harriott's debut was one to remember, an absolute bullet putting us 1 up inside 3 minutes. To 'Fleet's credit, they wrongfully had a goal disallowed after some suicidal defending between Wes Parker and Jonathan North. Ebbsfleet equalised from a Danny Haynes header which was coming. Harriott scored his second just before HT after 'Fleet decided to revert to Sunday League defending, cheers for the gift.

Seconds after a typically outstanding North save, Ebbsfleet equalised again after another header from a cross, but Shaun Lucien would skin Ebbsfleet's #2 before laying the ball off for Jefferson Louis to hit the winner.

Our goal lived a charmed life a couple of times in the 2nd half but I thought we worked our socks off and actually attacked Ebbsfleet instead of shutting up shop. Josh Urquhart is 100% the signing of the summer, came with a good reputation from Harlow but he's been superb at the back. Another excellent performance, there is real camaraderie amongst the playing squad.

13 unbeaten in all competitions now, 15 points from our last 7 games in the league. Things aren't totally bleak. UTS!

Well Weston won to prove me wrong. Much needed 3 points it seems.

No complaints from me. Wealdstone came with a game plan and it worked terrifically well.

Still top and got a huge game at home to second placed Oxford City next week.

I still think we will win the league mind.

I'm not one who criticises referees usually but that game on Saturday was shocking, even the stortford manager said his side got every decision and still couldn't do anything against us. We should of been 2-0 up a clearly good goal disallowed, then at the other end the wrong player was sent off. Yellow cards for a few of our players everytime we attempted to tackle. Second half King got a second yellow no complaints on that one and we were down to 9 men. You would think we would sit back and try and keep the score respectable or may sneak a draw but we dug in and the 9 men out there ran there socks off, 2 well worked goals with attacking football and we won 3-1. This squad is very talented and has a fantastic spirit. Interesting week ahead with 2 very tough games, away at sutton tonight and away at Ebbsfleet on saturday.

TBH the refs in this division have been shocking this season (and yes I'm still annoyed Truro got a penalty for fouling our 'keeper.)

Tonight should be interesting. We're a capable side, but one perhaps not making the most of our oppertunities this season. Hopefully we'll start the Sutton-surge a little earlier this season

It may just be that my opinion on him is completely out-dated, or that he only played well with Justin Edinburgh there to get the best out of him. Either way he's clearly not been impressing people for a while at step 2 now.

I don't like to criticise refs at all but the decision to rule out Kedwell's goal in Saturday was absolutely atrocious. The Stones fans were blaming their keeper/defender for a mix up, and the ref blows for a foul!!

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to our game. It would appear you're not going to be a side who will sit back. If you win tonight then you'll go top with a win against us I believe. Lose tonight and Saturday and we're back to 9 in front. Fine margins indeed.

Perhaps Mr. Corcoran reads this forum, or he wanted to play well against his former club but he had his best match for us on Saturday.

We got away that mishap on Saturday (the goal should have stood) but then again the referee and lino were conned a couple of times into giving yellow cards against our players, so swings and roundabouts... if luck balances itself out, Ebbsfleet will get a dodgy decision in their favour vs. Eastbourne.

Busy November for us, we play 6 matches from November 14th (at least 4 in the league).

Perfectly good goal disallowed at home to Chelmsford (Cup) for the self same thing too! Maybe the refs are jealous of Kedwell's pay packet. ;)

Not looking forward to Eastbourne at all. Fed up of going there if I'm honest.

So the 1-1 draw last night has reduced our lead at the top to five points now. With Maidstone not playing in the League on Saturday it's vital that we pick up the points.

Our youngsters progressed into the second round of the FA Youth Cup after beating Gillingham away last night. Great result against a aide who are capable themselves. Unfortunately fucked themselves over when one of theirs was sent off for a two - footed challenge midway through the first half.

By all accounts, Shilow Tracey played another blinder. The lad has just got back from a weeks training with Spurs and has several Football League and Premier league clubs keen on him. Our academy really is coming on in leaps and bounds, so many good players. I can see several playing first team games this season.

800-1000 crowd at Priestfield too which is very good for a youth game.

AFC Wimbledon away in round two. Another chance to progress. We play Reading U21s at home next Tuesday in a Development game. I believe they're third in their league, should be a great test for the lads.

Up the Fleet!

Brilliant. The people of Macedonia had heard of Stevenage, maybe they are closet Stones fans too!

Good exposure to be fair.

Are you guys confident for Sunday? Our fanbase is almost unanimous in believing we'll lose...

(Would have posted in the 1st Round thread but I see it's been locked due to Eastleigh Fan's incoherent nonsense)
We're in great form (haven't lost a game since August) & conceding very few goals.....couple that with all your injury problems & how your doing in the league, means a potential upset could be on the cards :bg:

Btw do you guys not have a forum?? tried looking for one but couldnt find anything active

I know, he's a nice guy but the whole thing is just cringeworthy.

He pops along to some away games, but I haven't seen him at either of the Tuesday night games we've played so far (Margate and Biggleswade) so I don't anticipate him being at Maidstone. Bring your mates along anyhow and treat them to our total football.

Oh dear, that doesn't sound promising...

The main thing the fans use is the Ciderspace Facebook group, although you won't find much on-field chat on there at the moment!

Sutton United 0 Hayes & Yeading 1 attendance 758 (17 away approx)

A very frustrating game. Sutton had the majority of play and a high amount of chances, but we just couldn't score. H&Y were effective in what they needed to do. We're playing far better than last season, but still....

Bishop's Stortford away next week. We've already won there in the FA cup
