I would have thought that Ebbsfleet are the obvious favourites?

Maybe I was just lucky, but other than a spell of buffering in the first 5 minutes I had no problems whatsoever.

Think we were third favourites. Havant favourites, not sure who was second mind.

We ended up stepping in and streaming the game as Braintree couldn't get anything set up. Apart from missing a few minutes in the first 20 due to buffering (Essex signal completely at fault!), worked OK. Our streams for a couple of the home friendlies worked perfectly so expecting Saturday's game v Dulwich to be buffer free.

Dominated the game, probably should have scored 6 or 7 to be fair. However, 3 goals and a clean sheet away from home, can't grumble! Very impressed with Paxman and Martin, but a good team performance. Hope we actually get to see them live this season.

The person in charge of the camera at Havant looks like they've never used one before. I missed our 94th minute equaliser because he or she was to busy looking at the housing estate behind the goal :ffs:

Despite playing with 10 men (and only one centre back in a back three!) for over 60 minutes, we probably should have got a winner against Dulwich. Really liking the look of this squad, although still feel we may be a little light in the centre back department. Possibly one of our best sides in years and we may not get to see them live. :(

See Welling have been typically Welling in their first two games so far.

Almost forgot in all the excitement of missing two penalties and the chance to go top...

Chelmsford 1-0 Maidstone
Ebbsfleet 3-2 Hungerford

Chelmsford livestream broke down again, so could have avoided paying £9.99 to watch an autocam following the linesman and a Maidstone coach’s bald head.

Halloween Night.

Billericay 1-2 Ebbsfleet
Braintree 3-4 Hemel
Dartford 2-1 Havant
Dulwich 0-0 Chelmsford
Eastbourne 2-1 Welling
Hungerford 2-0 Dorking
Maidstone 6-0 Concord
Oxford 0-2 Hampton
Slough 2-1 Bath
St Albans 3-0 Chippenham

Good that Maidstone didn’t get any penalties, otherwise it would have ended 6-0.

03/11/20.

Dulwich 1-4 Concord
Hemel 1-4 Billericay

Concord recovering well from their 0-6 thrashing at Maidstone. They’ve just signed three new players. Meanwhile Dulwich continue to struggle, not properly financially compensated by the lottery money distribution.

Dulwich have been underperforming for a couple of years now. Big budgets and struggling . As for not being compensated, don’t have so many players that are “full time.”

They are very loyal to Gavin Rose, who by all accounts is a great guy and a club legend but seems out of his depth at NL South level.

How come Hungerford have started so well?

I don't know. Their squad has a lot of players who have been there a while plus guys they've signed from Chippenham. Definitely low budget but it could be a similar situation to Slough last year where a group that's been together for a while has a better understanding and organisation than others in the division and builds off that despite not having much cash.

I'm sure Hungerford don't have the same kind of money going in now as they did when they were bankrolled up to this level a few years back.

He’s surely on borrowed time. The game at our place just before lockdown which I’ll concede we were lucky to win, Dulwich lacked any sort of positional organisation and their passing game that was so renowned had been abandoned.

Looks a bit like us and Gordon Bartlett from the outside looking in. Long serving manager who overachieved on limited resources but then massively underachieved on a huge budget.
