Looking at getting a new one and have a question on specs. All I'll basically only be using it for browsing (forums, news sites, Facebook etc), occasionally downloading songs (although not very often) and playing Football Manager. No need for streaming anything etc

Would an i.5 be more than good enough for all that? I don't know much about tech specs

That would play it pretty fast? Sick of my old laptop taking ages to process days.

The specs required for browsing the Internet can be pretty basic, however playing football manager (fast) is a different cup of fish and that will bump the spec and thus price up a bit.

Core i5 if that's what you have in mind would be good enough, but make sure it has 4gb RAM, and if you can afford more RAM then all the better.

You'll be stuck with Windows10 or if you're really unlucky Windows8, of the two Windows10 would be the preference for your usage.

Put your money towards a solid state drive if you want speed. It is the single best thing you can to make your computer faster

If you don't mind an extra 30 quid, I think I'd prefer the spec of this one.

I5 rather than I7, but has double the RAM and an SSD hard drive which is quicker for loading stuff than an old fashioned hard drive.

You won't lose much between i5 and an I7 and you'll definitely feel a difference with more memory and a quick hard drive.

Be carefull with Lenovo though, they have a bit of penchant for packing your PC with all sorts of shite. It looks a good unit, but I'd format the drives as soon as you get it and reinstall your own OS
