So with Slade now at Cardiff, there is a vacancy at Orient waiting to be filled. With their fairly new ownership seemingly prepared to back a manager with a good budget, and Orient's strong showing last season - it could be a very attractive job.

Kevin Nugent was apparently offered the role verbally but that has since broken down, Nugent could be set to follow Slade into Cardiff. Orient could be looking for a more experienced manager themselves.

To that end, there are currently some rumours peddling Steve Evans at Rotherham being interested, which would be an interesting step. Evans is the bookies' favourite right now.

In all honesty, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see pretty much virtually anyone get the job. Phil Brown might do well with Orient, he's been speaking to Bolton about the vacancy there and Orient not only are a league above, but have a similar fanbase and the added incentive of cash to spend. Alternatively, I wonder if they would ever consider dropping in for someone like Gary Rowett or Paul Tisdale.
