We have more than enough of those down here already, thanks.
This is just the boost we needed, so let's just hope it happens.
It's strange looking at the league table and seeing us below the plastics.
It's just not right.

I'm a bit non-plussed. Who are 'The Plastics' in this case?

I wouldn't be comfortable with "Chief executive Michael Dunford and the rest of the club’s board are understood to be leaving as part of the deal with the new owners keen to bring in their own people".

You'd think they would want to keep people in and around them who knew about the Club.

Depending who you believe, the current regime are most of the problem, and most supporters would be keen to see the back of them (Dunford especially). I'm fairly ambivalent about it.

I'm afraid Luke, that with perhaps one exception they've proved to know nothing about the club whatsoever. So long as some of the backroom people stay, there shouldn't be an issue.

New owners looming:

"We know who you are,
We know who you are ... "

At least there's less mystery this time.
Recent years have turned me into a sceptic and a cynic. Hopefully, the goal is for something more sustainable rather than a few years flash-in-the-pan. Not that I'm ungrateful as the ride has been fun a lot of the time. I would rather plod along as an OKish league 2 side that sometimes threatens the play offs, rather than quickfire success that we can't cope with and threatens our existence.

In the news today that Crawley are finalising a Turkish takeover by Ziya Eren, the president of Turkish first division club Kayseri Erciyesspor.

Apparently looking to establish a link with a lower league English club to use as a feeder club for Kayseri Erciyesspor who are currently 15th in the Turkish first division after being relegated from the Super League last season.

Eren is believed to be planning to send some of Kayseri’s younger players to Crawley to help their development and also showcase some of the club’s better players to increase their chances of earning big-money moves to the Championship or Premier League.

Interesting...:pond:
They don't have much to play for this season most likely, but how will the future play out for Crawley?

You see that car there?

The one picking up speed towards that NO ENTRY sign with the suspicious looking cliff to oblivion beyond it?

The one where the accelerator is stuck to the floor and the brake is jammed?

Where the driver looks terrified and the bystanders have their fingers covering their eyes?

And when they're promoted back to League One, there'll be Turkish Delight...

Michael Dunford was within a couple of cup wins of achieving our goal of becoming a financially self-sufficient club

...again, another strange quote.

Indeed. The very definition of financial self-sufficiency is that you're not dependent on cup wins. The whole thing is hilarious. All done without "one administration or one winding-up order" too. Tremendous achievement against all the odds for a club struggling to make ends meet on a bottomless vault of laundered money on the pittance handed over by generous benefactors.
