3pm blackout stays so Wrexham will have a lot of games moved for TV!

I think in general it’s got to be a positive.

I’m concerned about the talk of this blackout being removed as i think it’ll be a massive detriment to lower league clubs.

It’s got to be hand in hand, want more money from sky they’re going to want more back, hardly like theyre going to up the fund and show less.

Bet the public can’t wait to watch harrogate vs sutton

The only people who should ever celebrate these deals are the players. The clubs just get more into the sh*t, the fans end paying more for less and the only ones who get more are the players……been like that now since 90’s.

Until they finally clamp down on player wages tv deals mean nothing much to helping any clubs become sustainable, it just dangles larger carrots at clubs to recklessly overspend to get to a higher level to reap bigger incomes…..which then do little because the costs are so big anyway.

I think this is good news (cautiously). We want the blackout to remain, so we have to give something back. All games on over Christmas seems an ok move, plus the midweek games.

All TV games up until January being decided before the season starts is also a solid move I think. I think we’ll all have a couple of away days moved that we aren’t thrilled with but I think overall if it keeps the blackout in place then it could be far worse.

It's been just over 20 years since the collapse of ITV digital. Obviously that won't happen with Sky, I say obviously, I don't know the ins and outs of comcast. But what I'm worried about is the 5 years after. This deal is such a massive increase. It's a big cliff face.

It’ll only be an issue when you play Wrexham or Salford so no difference for the other 22 teams.

Two hour pre game show before every Wrexham match to show the fairytale story of the last couple of years too.
When they enter the field of play all fans (you also) have to bow and feel so grateful for the privalage
Of being allowed to be part of the Wrexham dream.(sorry County fans)

Thats why we bailed out of the efl, When everbody thought we were shite.

PS: Wait till thge sheep shaggers start singing, And banging Drums(poor Sutton)

I'm half expecting our first game back in League Two to be against Wrexham on the Friday evening, before everyone else gets going on the Saturday, or Sunday or Monday evening...

Got ya...but I was thinking about under the current deal and the Wrexham love in...club back in the league against probably the smallest team ever to play in the Football League.

All will depend on if Leeds are relegated.

You could have one of us taken over by Dwayne ‘the rock’ Johnson and frankly it won’t bat an eyelid to anyone EFL wise if Leeds are back down here.

It at least would be fun, ‘you jabroni’s want to complain about the money we pumping in….it doesn’t matter what you think!

  • he Club Basic Award is distributed in accordance with the League’s Articles of Association.
  • Calculations are uplifted with RPI following each Domestic Broadcast deal.
  • The formula splits the League’s distributable revenue depending on the values sourced from broadcast and other income but the current effective share is approximately Championship 70%, League One 18% and League Two 12%.
  • The uplifted element of the domestic broadcast deal is likely to be fed into the distribution calculation and be split between divisions on an 80% / 12% / 8% ratio.
  • Weighting is given to Championship clubs as primary drivers of rights values, with clubs agreeing the distribution formulas up to certain levels
  • According to the existing distribution formula, clubs in the Championship will be approximately 46% better off and 25% in League One and League Two respectively
So basically, let's increase the financial gap between League 1 and the Championship, and make the Championship even more of a basket-case?
