Cook's gone, we move on. No one's bigger than the club, blah blah blah..

Not gonna lie, the current list of options hasn't inspired me. The two favourites are Leam Richardson, who is my choice, but apparently he's going to Pompey too - And Dean 'Relegation' Saunders.

I'd actually prefer to give the job to an unproven like Beattie or Humphreys, than use our limited resources to get someone in who has that inevitable outcome wherever they go.

Thoughts?

Dean Saunders? Is that some sort of sick joke? Got to feel sorry for you lot. Lose your top scorer in January which arguably cost you a real chance at promotion, now you've lost your manager. Get someone decent in and add to your squad (forwards would be a start) and can see you challenging next season.

I'd have thought Leam would want to get away from Cooks apron strings now and have a go himself. I wouldn't mind giving him the job for a bit, see how he does. Or, failing that, I honestly wouldn't mind giving Mad Dog the reins...

Leam Richardson 2/1
Dean Saunders 5/1
Brian Deane 5/1
Darren Ferguson 6/1
James Beattie 6/1
Danny Wilson 8/1
Nigel Adkins 8/1

I'll be honest, bar Leam, any of the others, i'd be forcing myself to find positives.

Not that I won't be giving them my full support who ever it is.

Why, do we need saving from relegation with 2 months to go?

Keith Hill if we can pry him away from Dale or someone fresh and upcoming like Cook was.

Not Saunders, Fergie or Wilson please.... Christ no. Deane is an unknown quantity, but so was Cook to a degree. Beattie is another young, hungry manager so 'might' work, although didn't he get sacked by Stanley? Adkins I could get behind, but might be a bit pipe-dreamy

Can someone be a player/manager whilst being PFA Chairman?

Humphreys is a calm head, a lot of respect, knows the club, knows the players, clearly has something about him to be given that position, and by registering him, he could still do that job too.

In all seriousness I feel someone like Neal Ardley would be good for Chesterfield, probably won't take you up to the heights of last season but worth a punt I feel. Young, up and coming.

You'd think that with just under 2 million made from getting rid of Cook, Cooper and Doyle - We'd at least have 100k to throw at some League Two club with a promising manager.

But we won't.

Paul Cox lads, Clucas will love it!
I don't fancy getting neck ache next season

Looking like we're gonna be selling Morsy, Darikwa, Clucas, and losing Ryan and Talbot - And it'll mostly go to debt - So we'll need some players for peanuts.

You got any other good ones we can take off your hands?

Where've you heard this? If true, you'd imagine it'd be £2m minimum for those 3

It might be bollocks, but there's been insider reports that have come out saying that a big reason for Cook being pushed out, was that he didn't agree with the boards plans to sell a couple of the assets. Rumour has it that there is a meeting today about 'players futures'.

Morsy is most likely to go with a decent offer. I think that Clucas will stay, only because we've not kept him in the same position long enough to be known as an amazing left back/striker/winger. Darikwa is a funny one, he's our player of the season for me, but because he's a right back, he'll never get the spotlight like the others do, hopefully he goes under the radar.

How have you guys managed to rack up so much debt?
Big new stadium a few years ago cost about £13million. I don't think it's unmanagable debt though, just means we have to keep selling to pay it off
