Still time for Newcastle to crumble like a wet digestive biscuit.

Coulda sent Smalling off there for the foul on Mitrovic, but the way things have gone Newcastle probably want him on the pitch!

More rugby in the box....

Entertaining goal-fest between United and Newcastle...this season?

Cracker from Rooney?

If only Lingard had put United 3-1 up with that simple, simple chance.

Great game and fair play to both teams.

Also Fellaini's header could've put you 4-2 up.

Can't call United boring after that, but they still weren't very good tbh.

Great game, I think we were slightly better but the draw is more than fair. Unacceptable result for van Gaal. Seems we can't have entertainment and win.

Not always boring, but always shite.

We'll put that on the back of the season review DVD.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
Typical. Do something different instead (As instructed to by 'Why Don't You in the 80s) and it seems like it was mildly interesting. Twitter seems to think it was up there with the Newcastle / Liverpool 3-4. But people may be overcompensating.

Was it LVG feeling the pressure a bit and ditching his philoshophy to counter accusations of being boring, but not quite being up to the job defensively?

Fair enough, I was only half watching.

I thought he booked Smalling for the pen as well.

seems you were right, he did book him for the penalty. dunno wtf was going on then, according to the bt lot he was booked first half instead of herrera.

Like the Wolfsburg game they've gone out to score goals and been exposed at the back.

It's appalling how often we lose a lead. van Gaal has never changed tactics in a game I've seen us play. It's the same game-plan from the start, whatever that is.

In fairness to LvG you can't really legislate for Smalling going sumo.

On Smalling's first yellow, BT showed the replay with Hererra catching the player and reassigned the card to him.

I don't even feel disappointed about the result, Smalling trying to DDT Mitro as well as Lingard and Fellaini's misses cost us but it was refreshing and quite frankly a fucking surreal experience to have been excited and invested in one of our performances. We desperately need a proper CB.

We can't even be remotely positive without looking an absolute shambles at the back. It is simply not good enough.

There is nothing positive about having to score 3/4 goals in an attempt to beat a very poor side.

Failure to beat Liverpool could spell the end.

Had money on Man Utd to win this one. At 0 - 2 up and at 2 - 3 with no time left was feeling pretty good. Bloody useless bunch of c**ts.
