Despite going on a winless run (14) only beaten by relegated Villa (19), Palace are safe. Their win over some pointless team in Norfolk - their only win in 18 games - enough to stave off being dragged into the relegation drama.

Ironically given hope by their fiercest rivals, Newcastle have suddenly woke up and given themselves a chance at survival. Only a point adrift after a comfortable win over Swansea, a draw - which could have easily been a win - against a lacklustre Man City and a stirring comeback from 2-0 down at Anfield.

Palace haven't scored more than 2 goals in a game since the reverse fixture (a 5-1 win). Pardew would love for a repeat, I'm sure.

Talk about the match and how shit Pardew is here...

pardew to win the fight via controversial split decision then rant about how the only reason he went half a season without a win is because he only had a specific 11 fit for 7 games in a season and it's definitely not because he's a terrible, terrible football manager and if you say any different you can shut your noise you fucking old c***.

Clearly pardews fault some tin pot team is about to get relegated. Only he could sign over the hill players are mitrovic, wijnaldum, Shelvey. I mean he had world class players like ginger pirlo ffs. Still, the wonderful and intelligent newcastle fans gave him FULL support. Clearly his fault they are fighting relegation and about to go extinct. #pardewout

But remember Pardew ALWAYS ALWAYS HAS THE LAST LAUGH!

Stunning freekick. Could be a massive day for Newcastle if this and the Sunderland scoreline stays in the same.

Just got to beat Villa now and I think that'll be enough. Sunderland and Norwich have some tough games to get anything out of.

I think Everton can hold them both to draws quite comfortably.

i can understand skinners previous criticism of bolasie which raised a few eyebrows. looks great on motd but he literally spent the full game dribbling as far as he could then either losing it or shooting from wherever he ended up. selfish as fuck.
