We have Oxford at Home tomorrow (29th) and then Gillingham visit on Saturday. We seem to be playing a bit better in the last two games so a bit more optimistic. Confident that Jephcott will score in at least one of the games.

We are going tomorrow, but I assume on Wednesday we will go to tier three so I am pessimistic that I shall see the Gills, the numbers in the community have gone up a bit, but in addition our numbers have been added to by HMS Northumberland which is now in Devonport having to returned to port with a Covid outbreak.

Anything less then 4 points and we are down in my opinion.
We will end up with 1 point out of 6.

We have Franchise tonight. Reckon we'll get a draw. Ben Gladwin will probably have a stormer for them.

A draw would also be my prediction, particularly as we have 8 or 9 of the first team squad out with injuries and sickness. Gladwin will play, but will almost certainly be quiet as he had his 'once in a month' good game on Saturday, lit up by the peach he scored into the top corner from 25 yards. Fraser is the teams quarterback and most teams try and mark him out of the game.

Will Baudry play? I always thought that he deserved more of a chance here, but he never really recovered from the red card 5 minutes into his debut which cost us that game.

I personally hope Baudry doesn't play. He makes far too many costly mistakes due to lack of concentration. He's a good ball playing CB but I imagine we'll go with Fryers and Conroy who has looked great after his comeback from a serious knee injury.

We WILL give you chances, usually at least 1 gilt edged due to clown like behaviour at the back.

Its just been announced that John Sheridan lost both his mother and father over the Christmas period which must be absolutely horrible.

Doubtful he'll be in the dugout tonight but obviously that's of minor importance.

Didn't think it could get any worse. Might ask them if I could go in goal Saturday.

Comfortable win over Gillingham, could have been more than 3-1 too. Stops the rot.

Getting relegated doesn't bother me in the slightest as I don't take football that seriously, but having to post in the league 2 thread where that absolute Bolton whopper posts is bringing me out in cold sweats!

We are truly hopeless this season. Circus troupe bad.

Its embarrassing to witness the emperor with no clothes. We’re laid bare in our ineptitude. Ultimately it’s got to be down to Power. He’s obviously looking for a way to get shot of the club and wasnt going to invest in the squad for L1. Recruitment has been poor - and that’s down to Wellens, although he was probably constrained by the budget, hence why he took off. He could see the train wreck coming.

There are probably more than a few skeletons in Power’s cupboard which may scupper the chances of a ‘decent’ new owner.

The club seems to be locked in a never ending circle of success followed by major shiteness. Any success is never built upon. It’s easy to point the finger at Covid but that’s the same for every club.

Can only hope any new owner isn’t another in a long line of charlatans.

Wouldn't disagree at all with any of that ID.

It might be interesting to see what happens with this court case in February but really if we want to move forwards we really need new owners who have some kind of plan as to how we move the club forwards. Power stated over 5 years ago that he saw us as a Championship club, well we couldn't be much further from that.

Take Crewe for example that run (ignoring Covid for now) on much smaller crowds than us, but have a successful business model and plan that is reaping rewards. We don't even have a proper training ground and for a club our size, that's pretty shambolic.

Fantastic result for us away at Plymouth. We deserved that after a difficult first 30-40 minutes where they really got on top of us. Once we worked out how to press them, Plymouth looked fairly ineffective.

Amazingly we are top of the recent form table which only a month ago would have been the most unlikeliest of achievements. We seem to have turned a bit of a corner, however we are still far from brilliant. Vitally, we are no longer leaking goals and now offer an offensive threat which helps. Marcus McGuane is a completely different player and it showed last night. He ran that game.

The impending return of Cameron Brannagan and the likelihood of at least two January signings could really be the injection that we need to kick on... Unless COVID prematurely puts the brakes on the season!

Another 1-0 win for us last night continues the incredible turnaround since Cotterill came in. 7 unbeaten in the league since he joined now.

Crewe next up for us, top vs second in the form table (last six games). Should be a cracker of a local derby! Just a shame fans aren’t allowed in.

Unless the vaccines kick in and knock this latest surge on the head I can't see this season finishing.

Looking forward to this should be a cracking game. As you say such a shame fans aren’t going to be there, as I’m sure it would have been a big crowd for this one.

Is it sustainable to keep getting 1-0'ers? Are you creating chances and but not converting or are you setting up for 1-0's?

I'm obviously not as well informed as you lot but there were murmurs of discontent under Ricketts when he was keeping it tight defensively and nicking goals but Cotterill is doing the same?

Didn’t all EFL clubs vote in the summer that whatever happened, this season would be played to a finish and no PPG?

I’m sure I read that several times.
