Tbf who hasn't done that at some point after your team has scored a late winner in a big game?

Yeah , I've done the same on Saturday in the 95th minute against Sweden but I am not sitting in a VIP place in the stadium (and wasn't on Coke (only on beer ) ;)

Beckham and Rooney have done it to our own fans before at major tournaments!

Maradonna is a cock womble, hopefully we never see him at another world football competition. He is a disgrace. He does nothing to promote or enhance the beautiful game. He was a great player but also latterly brought the game into disrepute. When the age old arguement about the best player rears it’s head we should take into Consideration not only what they did with their feet we should also think what they did with their hands and nose and how they hold themselves after the career has ended, which is why Pele will always trump the fat coke head.

He's got every right to go and support his team if he wants tbf. Or do you wanna ban him from stadiums?

Everyone nose Diego likes a party. Nothing wrong with that, who doesn't every now and then? ;)

Gimme Maradona for all his flaws any day over that prevaricator Pele who has an even bigger ego. Maradona is, has always been, and always will be the biggest legend of the game - even if Messi wins the World Cup.

Kind of, it's been quite a while since he played for us.
Well if you kind of forgot he played for you, the BBC commentator bellowing it out kind of reminded us ALL that he did.

Commentator couldn't wait to mention Man Utd. Had to double check Tyldesley hadn't gone over to the BBC.

He appears to have 3 arms too..
You can rack up two lines while you are snorting one when you have three arms, the surgery was well worth the money.

These are the sort of occurrences that have sent Bilo into six-month periods of absence in the past, we might not see him for a while.

That was bonkers last night.

With 15 minutes to go we had the Croatia game on TV and the Nigeria Vs Argentina on the tablet. At that point if any team scored it basically confirmed their qualification

Nice goal from Rojo - gutted Argentina went through though - 4 points is a joke. Still, hopefully France knock them out

Plenty of teams have qualified with 4 points before, it’s hardly a ‘joke.’
Maradona has always great entertainment both during his playing career and after it. He comes as a real person, warts and all, whereas Pele has always been careful to present a manicured airbrushed image of himself publicly.
I can certainly see Argentina beating France, who have performed in a disjointed manner so far.

The football world would be so much more boring if people like Maradona weren’t in it. And let’s face it, he won the World Cup for Argentina in 1986 in what was a pretty average side apart from him. Pele won the World Cup three times in sides which probably would have been close without him.

I’m also pleased Argentina got through as I’d rather watch France v Argentina than France v Nigeria. Argentina will at least attempt to attack rather than sitting back and hitting on the counter.

Argentina got so so lucky last night. Nigeria can really hold their heads up with how they have performed at the World Cup. Also not surprised at Maradona being hospitalised, the man has been on a bender for 13 days straight!

Still yet to see a performance from a team that makes me think 'here are the winners'...

So by your logic, putting Mark McGhee as Barnet manager wasn't a joke of a decision, because other teams have done it in the past? Or the referee not giving England a penalty vs Tunisia wasn't a joke of a decision, because referees have made wrong decisions before?

Getting through the group with 4 points is a joke, especially for a team like Argentina having to score in the last few minutes in a group with Iceland and Nigeria.

That is tortuous logic indeed. We were warned by many others including yourselves about the perils of letting Mark McGhee manage a football team and those warnings were borne out. Being forewarned about this yet still going ahead with appointing him was indeed a joke.
Regarding referees not giving penalties for grappling, such a call is a subjective matter and is indeed not 'a joke.'
Regarding qualifying from a group at the World Cup Finals. There is no criteria that you have to qualify in style or get more points. Indeed, it is perfectly possible for a team to finish second with three or even two points. When the World Cup Finals was a 24 team tournament and the four best-placed third placed teams qualified for the round of 16, it was not rare for those teams to qualify with two points. It can be argued that qualifying for the next round without winning a match is 'a joke.' However, Argentina did manage to win a group game and finished second in the group. It doesn't matter when they scored in the game, they won it and that is not 'a joke.'

Well you took that quite seriously.... I feel like I could have a field day here throwing 50 different joke scenarios and you'd answer all of them

That is very nice how it used to be, however it is completely irrelevant, but thanks anyway.

Maybe I'll rephrase for you though as you seem to believe that I am the official joke classifier, "In my opinion, Argentina getting through the group stages is a joke".

They are my South American side, as I said I can't stand Brazil.
Of course you have a "south american side"

I'm rooting for Argentina only because I want Messi to win the world cup. But he really should have done it in 2014 in Brazil, can't be done with this side. What a goal he scored though.

Yeah, my answer was a bit too serious but any FYI...
