Just responding to the made up accusation that we smashed seats at the Deva! When in fact it was a stray ball!
There were a handful out after your visit, whether or not it was stray balls or climbing over them celebrating I don't know. But there were a few that needed to be replaced, and they were, without a Wrexham-esque fuss made.

My initial post was more than a little tongue in cheek. But nice of the Chester fans to prove my point with their predictions of over 2000 fans making the Tranmere trip (we shall see) and making light of the damage their fans caused at the Racecourse last time out (whole rows of seats destroyed as well as Toilets. Not me making it up but backed up by documentary evidence).

Actually doing well for a change and yet all they can do is just babble on about our away support, we should be flattered. We're living rent free up in a few heads I suppose.

It's a thread about attendances.

Well, yes, and you're making sure it stays active alright, mainly rambling on about Chester again and again. Meanwhile, your team are actually doing quite well at the moment.

Yes they are. Thanks.

I'm just responding to people. Don't want to be rude you know.

Personally I hope noone posts anything else all season. Then we can all log on, click refresh, "oh no new comments". Stare at the screen for a while. Slowly blinking. Licking our lips.

About 50-60 tickets left for our game at Lincoln when I was in the ticket office about an hour ago.

Exactly. This is what I'm on about.
They took 1200 to our place last season and 800 the year before and we are their big local rivals.

I reckon they will bring just shy of 1000. That's the usual hardcore 2-300 who normally travel, a few hundred interested occasional fans and several hundred morons who just come out when they think they can cause trouble.

Expect a load of smashed seats. It's what they do best. All teams have moronic element but I really do feel sorry for the normal Chester fans sometimes.
You sound very bitter English Red. Is that what comes of being down here for 8 years ........and counting.

I thought the reason away fans weren't allowed on the back row of the Cowsheds was due to that precise location being where most of his shots ended up.

Think the seats in the Cowshed stand might of seized up by the time Chester visit, total lack of bums on seats for our recent home fixtures!

Over 1,200 sold for Altrincham, my guess is we'll have around 1,400 on the day.

Our shite allocation of 1,700 has been snapped up before most non season ticket holders got a chance. No surprise there.

Given that all we've heard is 'all the ST holders will snap them up'/'we've got more ST holders than tickets available', I'm obviously hugely surprised they ended up going on general sale...

And, yes, before we have the old 'well at least we turn up in decent members' shite, it's obviously still a good effort.

I think ST holders snapped up all but 100 of them.

The gripe is that we've always been given more.

I was surprised also, i did not for a minute contemplate going as i thought i did not have a sniff of getting a ticket.
If i had known i would not have put myself down for work Saturday and would be at Sincil Bank instead.
Pretty gutted now to be honest! :(

It was 1 ticket per ST though wasn't it - so no ST holders buying for their mates? In which case I'm not at all surprised a few went on general sale. For non-ST holder exiles like me there was still no chance so I didn't bother waiting and booked online for me and the kids in the little side stand.

Yeah i suppose if i'd have thought about it i may have expected a few on normal sale.
Were doing Southport now instead though, a ground i've never been to so have to settle for that instead!

Pretty sure your allocation increased on moving away fans to the SW.

5 short of 1800 fella. Linc police will have said how many you can have.
The way ground is set up now you can't really have more tickets.
How many do other clubs give you?

That's a good number. I don't think we took a thousand to any of our localish opponents last season.

Our away support has gone up down here. Lots of new grounds initially, but I think price helps alot. I remember going to Histon a couple of years back - me and 3 kids for £15 total. I do rugby at Leicester Tigers as well as Town which used to be good value but their ticket prices have rocketed as well - not far off Prem football level now.

Unless a team brings 700+ to ours, or there is police advice, is unlikely that we'll segregate games this season, though that may change in the future with ground developments.
Saying that we've 'soft segregation' in place for the visit of Dover this weekend, so they'll be directed to an end (terrace end) and no moving around the ground at half-time.
