Before you all throw your collective dummies out its not the club's decision. We don't own the ground so we are at the whims of he owners and the safety committee who made the decision.

Just been informed on our site the reasons why. The safety certificate only allows 1200 in a stand of 2800? Who decides that more than half a stand is unsafe and then let's over 1000 people use it anyway? Basically then, with that terrace the way it is too, you've got 2 & 1/3rd stands now?

100 Shots at Tranmere. Considering the amount of travelling we have had to do over the last 10 days that is an excellent turnout. Very few sides would have taken more in our position!
Got to the ground about 7.10 and there were only about 6 Shots fans in [and not that many more Tranmere]. Numbers swelled close to kick-off, made a fair bit of noise and it's a decent turnout given the distance involved and the fact you'd done Barrow at the weekend.

It's a shame that the way the powers that be have decided on seating arrangements which will have a negative impact on both sets of fans. Are there any plans to restore the derelict parts of the ground? While I shouldn't be admitting this as a Rovers fan, I stood on the home terraces at the Racecourse in the 90s a few times and it was a good atmosphere.

If I was the tenant of a house, and got told that a third of it was being made out-of-bounds on safety grounds, I'd be demanding improvements were made!

Pretty much. When we were in the league and the Kop was open the ground capacity was 15500. At the moment it's just over 8000 I think with all the restrictions placed on us. We had 8000 last season against Grimsby for the 150 anniversary match, and 9000 odd when we played Luton in the play off semi a few years ago but it keeps getting scaled back.

If you rent a house it's easy enough to go and live in another house if you aren't happy with the T&C. Hopefully one day we will own the ground and can sort it ourselves. Until then we are not in a position to argue.

Southport Stats gives an estimate of 66 at Guiseley on Tues. Head count I assume.
Anyone got Dover at Eastleigh yet?

Our programme has us down for 120 at Barrow last week. As it was segregated I assume that is an exact figure

Not great but understandable with Wrexham coming up. 900 odd sold as of this morning, be all gone my monday.
You don't like travelling over 100 miles or so do you. Same distance for you today as us. And our third 300 plus round trip in 10 days. Think you are probably a bit spoilt by all these North West derbies you have whereas we have feck all apart from El Grassico and that's all we've had for years, apart from Scunny in the Cup.

I don't know, sometimes we can take decent numbers, especially to the London clubs, but yeah our core away support isn't great. For the bigger closer matches is when everyone comes out the woodwork.

Yeah, numbers wise our away support could be better. Though, tbf, it's been decent at places we've never been to, less so at grounds we've played at before. Not much of an excuse, but I've been to Cheltenham before, for example, so I'm going to FGR instead. Should see a few more there than travelled today.

453 to Gateshead on a Tuesday night says otherwise.

It's not our fault all your Derby teams are football League Clubs.

36 Macclesfield at Aldershot - in my opinion that is a dreadful following for a Saturday for a team like Macclesfield.

First away game of the season though. I'm not taking the piss, just noting that your followings drop off very quickly with distance - you are still getting more at home than us after all. The number of local derbies you have may be part of the reason.

It's true. Our core away support was always 300 or so, which swelled as we got closer to home. I don't remember us ever travelling well, except for 'special' or local games.

Actually the figure was 43, 7 went through the wrong turnstile but did eventually find their way to the away section.

(That's still dreadful)

Crowd of 539 I think was announced at boldmere yesterday, they average 90 so a solid 400+ from hereford.
