Boston play Gloucester (at Cheltenham) tomorrow- expecting about 150 or so as we've got a 2nd bus for the first league game in ages. So I went to Glossop v Lancaster in NPL Div 1 North. 399 in total, good for that level. Decent following of about 60 or 70 by Lancaster, though things got a bit ugly in the clubhouse afterwards apparently..... 3-1 Glossop

What happened? Was also at the game and was thinking 2nd half that there 10 or so pissed up mongs following Lancaster who'd had one to many WKDs would probably try and cause some trouble. With it snowing and having to get back over the Peaks to Chesterfield I made a hasty getaway. Don't think i've been so cold at football in a long time.

Lancaster's 'firm' just seemed like a schoolboy brigade. Obviously got let out for the day ad found somewhere to get some WKD's in! I was gone straight after FT but had to wait for the players to go down the tunnel. Then I just heard a lad saying "it's kicking off in there" but I walked past it to be fair

It was a reasonable turnout from the Sandgrounders, approaching half of their average home gate. Bit of a dip in the Rovers support, which may be due to the late decision to bring the game forward from Tuesday.

I didn't know so I had to look it up. 154?! Up the road to Bury? That's so poor from such a mighty club.
If they ever end up down here it will be a pleasure to play a team of such magnitude!

Christ, that's as pitiful as it gets.

Reading the league 1 thread there's some terrible followings in general, even to relatively local games.

Mind, if they go up they'll still end up with more away fans then the "mighty alex".
