I counted 161 Dover at Maidenhead, behind the goal in the second half

Was 796 Notts at Eastleigh that time. Despicable to see such fake news from the Wrexham chief executive, I trust Burchnall will have this pinned on the dressing room wall on Monday.

Apparently its a gag that the Eastleigh announcer does every season. Apparently Bristol Rovers have the actual record.

Just me and 70 others at Woking and that's the most we'll take away all season. :ds:

No way were there 76 in that away end, about 40 at most.

I know it was announced at the game as 76 but that is bollocks.
Christ, let 'em have their 76 can't yer? I doesn't diminish the God-almighty-I-can't-believe-how-absolutely-humungously-well-hung-the-fish-fucking-cod-bashers-are Grimsby does it? :dk:

40 Gloucester at Guiseley. A lot of fans who went were unhappy at that following after having 2000+ last week at meadow Park but it's going to take time to build a decent away support up, plus a good percentage of our games are 6 hour + round trips away.

Very poor following from Bromley, first game of season for what is a 40 min drive or a travelcard journey which takes about an hour and 15 on the train. Lots of these newer clubs that get 1500 at home but can’t muster decent away fans we almost took as many to Stockport. We should take double that to Barnet tomorrow yet get fewer home fans.

Yeah I know we have crap support but we tend to take a decent percentage of our home support away from home.

Ah the Chester defence

I'm taking the piss but I do acknowledge it must be pretty tough getting new fans as a smaller club in the London and SE area, despite the population there are a lot of pretty big clubs about who I presume everyone supports.

Yeah it’s tough, no matter what level our crowds have never increased by much even only by a few hundred in league one. West Ham are offering such cheap tickets these days even for adults as they try and fill their oversized athletic stadium. They were at home yesterday which is unusual as police normally don’t allow it. We have a hardcore of 1200 no matter who we play or what day of the week they always show up. The new locals are simply not interested in lower league football.

Strange that as last time we were down here I seem to remember you spaffing yourself silly about how many we took to your gaff.

I feel for you - it breached all sorts of state aid rules and conveniently ignored the impact on clubs like D and R and Orient.

Amen to this post. We have exactly the same issues, just replace West Ham with Arsenal (don’t laugh) and Spurs.

Or Hendon and Harrow Scummers.

Careful, acknowledging a different name for Harrow Borough could warrant tinpot status.

I know they’re good for a couple of chants but imo we’re past any rivalry with Harrow, it was one sided anyway, now it’s become a joke.

When I first started supported the Stones in the mid 70s , it was always Barnet, then migrated towards Enfield when you also had the mini Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal rivalry between us, Enfield and Barnet.

Another way to look at it, and what we have done very well, is to get supporters of pro clubs to come and watch us when they aren’t playing. We have the pro club discounted season ticket or match day ticket admission, and we get lots of Chelsea, Watford, QPR regulars coming through the gate.

We're being given 1200 tickets for Southend away, I expect they'll go fairly quickly.

You’ll get more if they’re required. Think 2200 is the very max

Over 700 at Bradford today. Their cheap ticket deal for bcafc/lufc/htafc season ticket holders may have helped. A good 250 or so from Boston
