Was the best crowd in the division today, I didn't bother today and glad I didn't too! Get the feeling it would of been one those where you're surrounded by people who haven't been all season, haven't a clue who the players are , keep asking who they are and then leave early:fl:
First home Saturday game I've missed since September when we lost to Brizzle Rovers, had something very important to do today.

I think it sums up people's attitude towards the Club when you can pay as little as £1 and we still only muster 4.5k. Would have been way above that in recent years.

Need to get rid of that drum as well. Fair play to that corner trying for trying to make an atmosphere but the drums drowns it out. From the away end it just looks like a bloke banging a drum with rest waving their arms about.

Also seemed like Lincolnshire Police were expecting Milwall or Leeds to come to town, massive police presence.

Aye, apparently a 40 'risk' element from Chester.

1) Thank you for patience of the public today pre/post match as a group of 40 Chester Risk supporters were escorted to/from stadium #Imps

Most of us are okay, but we had the usual few knobs there.

I don't know, when you came to ours your fans were good as gold, we didn't even need to employ the famed Cotswold head-lock to keep them in check!

They travel most games. Go tell them they're knobs themselves instead of writing about it on the internet.

Stewards were a bit OTT. Didn't expect inflatable footballs to be confiscated after what happened at FGR last week.

Edit: Not that I endorse grown men taking inflatable football to a football match.

You'll probably still be in this league next season as will we, but I doubt I'll ever make the trip again after one of your stewards made me very angry, complete ignorant tool.

Just because they travel to most games doesn't mean they're not knobs. It's always the same faces that try and cause problems because they can't handle a few cans on the way down.

The police presence did seem a bit mad yesterday, thought something major had happened around the town when I arrived. It was quite heavy last season at Lincoln for some reason too, I go to most and never see it like that. Maybe it's just a Lincoln thing.

That's not my point. These 'knobs' he is talking about are at most games, why not do something about it instead of writing about them on the internet? Wasn't any trouble in the ground yesterday, and hasn't been most games this season, so not sure what his problem is.

Couple of our lads went last season and got a bit of a hiding so they obviously expecting trouble this year.

Tbh, we hardly have any police at our games anymore but if there's any history, like it sounds as though there might be (wasn't aware of that), then they do tend to put a few more around.

You'd be hard pushed to find any police around the Stadium on most match days. Mind you, that's probably down to away followings, or lack of.

Hope Chester don't come down to Bristol looking for it. Just ask Grimsby what happens lol. I hate all the violence but when you see 30-40 grimsby fans come marching down the road singing and looking for it then look 20 seconds later and they're running back up the road it's quite amusing

My plea to you, and anyone else who has an issue with the stewards at The New Lawn, is to complain about it when it happens. We dislike them, they replaced a group of people who were largely volunteers, popular, well known amongst our supporters and did a good job very well. The friendly reputation of our ground has been tarnished of late and the home fans are not happy about it.

Indeed think that must of only been the third time this season there has Police at the ground, as Luke says we dont get the away fans turning up for there to be any Police there. Would think the next time they'll be Easter Monday for the Halifax game as I'm sure they'll bring a few.
Regarding the stewards doesn't every club have moronic stewards? Rochdale and Notts County have some right crackers!
Our chief steward can be a right bugger.

You're right about Notts County, they'll try and chuck you out for standing up for five seconds to celebrate a goal of all things.

Remember one of our fans got a short jail sentence and 6 year ban for an incident with their stewards when we played them a few years back.

On the subject of knob head stewards Wolves get my vote.
When we stood up "sit down or your out", but their fans were allowed to stand up doing cut throat gestures at us without a word said to them!
Such a shame then that we beat them 1 nil which meant they ended up being pipped to promotion by WBA bless :D

When we went to Rochdale a few years back, their stewards, genuinely, came up the steps and asked us to keep the noise down.

We went back the following season and they behaved impeccably. It then became apparent that, for the first half, they were being filmed as part of a training video. Second half, back to true form.

Shame that as Rochdale used to be one the best away days but they got in a private security firm and it always seems to go downhill after that

Haha, brilliant.

Mansfield were dreadful when we visited. 50 or so of us (about 20 of us were standing up and singing) and they kept trying to make us sit down, occasionally making references to Hillsborough. Err.. hello! Twats.

They tried chucking me out Saturday. They are fucking useless jobsworth twats. The lot of them. The Safety officer is the biggest pleb at Mansfield aswell. They won't start on a big following but when Team's don't bring many fans or when it's individuals or kids in the home end they are onto things like a tramp on chips.

They spoil home games, I used to like to stand and sing but me and several others all sit in the West Stand now because we can't be arsed with the hassle we were getting at every match
