That really is a dreadful design. Two totally clashing styles there.

I agree with you there, I'm not too sure on the Latin script either. I am guessing that their nickname is the bees, why not make that the focus of the badge with the team name and date featured more prominently, do away with the Bolton style lettering completely.

All hail King Ian of Wrexham for bringing this thread back to the people...

Here's some Nottingham Forest loving yanks from America's 4th tier league:

Haha. Imagine if, not only had you ripped off another teams badge, but you'd picked a colour scheme that would be more at home on an 80's shell suit.

When I first saw it I thought it was a team from the 80's that went bust but nope... alive & well with that offering as their current badge!

The FGR one is quite a funny nod to the Barcelona one isn't it? Some of the others are just weird...

I know, we were being ribbed for years about the badge, although as a club we are older than Barcelona I wouldn't dare to suggest that they nicked the design from us. I'm not too sure when we started to use it, logically it must have been in the early 90's when the last Chairman took the club over and renamed it from Stroud FC. I guess you would need to ask him where he drew his inspiration from, maybe he just admired Barcelona and thought why not? There was a lot of fuss when we dropped the old badge, although it is still used by the Supporters Club, and although I use the new one for my avatar I still prefer its predecessor...despite its obvious lack of originality!

That is tinpot copying taken to a new paradigm - copying the crest of an organisation that has nothing to do with football and is pretty obscure itself.
Haha, Went to several Eastwood Town games during my time and never knew that! LOL.
