Well as it was on the old TFF forum that no longer exists, it would be a bit difficult to get a link!
And as for 'evidence', as we are not in a court of law, I do not need to thanks bonehead. :woo:
Now its funny that for someone like you, who purposely comes on here to annoy people, you do not seem to like getting anything thrown back at you.
Strange that.........:whistle::bye:

You are correct, you don't need any evidence to lie your arse off. However your argument looks a bit weak without it, particularly as you still haven't come up with a motive. As for annoying people, that's just a happy coincidence, I mainly comment on here for my own amusement. :woo:

No shame in admitting you weren't at The Racecourse B2TF, and this goes for everyone else. I don't even have a problem with fans missing their sides home matches as they surely must have a valid reason why they do so. Take me for example, I've only been to 2 away matches this season, and I've also missed some home matches, mostly those Tuesday night ones for the simple reason that I cannot go.

I remember when I was something like 15 or 16 years old and lied about seeing a match. Got found out very quickly, but at least I learned my lesson.

So, whether our favourite poster B2TF really was at Wrexham or not, makes absolutely no difference to me, but if he wasn't then he's not a proper fan

Yup same here, i don't get to many away anymore (used to a lot upto 2 years ago) but i now work virtually every Saturday so simply can't do it.
The difference between me and B2TF is that i don't PRETEND (allegedly) that i go to them when i don't.
But as I have no concrete evidence or motive on his part, he definately DID go....... obviously....... :woot:

No there isn't and if I wasn't, I would. E.g. I wasn't at Eastleigh or Welling and one or two others. I'm not a suspect in a murder case, I haven't found a winning lottery ticket that was bought there, I don't need an alibi, there is no reason I would need to lie about being in either of those places. GTFC1979 still can't come up with any explanantion at all why I need to lie about being in Wrexham. No evidence. no motive, his trousers are around his ankles. :fl: :woo:

Bit late in the day this one, but good pubs in Altrincham? Not going in that one at the end of Moss Lane again.

Oh dear, I'll be looking to eat when I get to Alfreton so maybe I'll try the Victoria instead.

I went to the Railway in Broadheath (right next to Altrincham) in the end, really good Holt's pub. Grade II listed and thus it stands between a busy dual carriageway and a Milton Keynesesque retail park of doom. Sit out in the beer garden or in the old timey exterior and pretend you're in a lovely submarine swimming through purgatory...

Took our business to the Old Packet House down the road for a nice cheap meal in a pretty shabbily done up old building. Was friendly and had the right feel though. I'd definitely favour them over the boring King George on Moss Lane.

NUNEATON. Anybody here? Nuneaton.

Will default to the two next to the railway station if no further offers. Will be eating as my grandma's coming along.

Hi Pliny! Hope you're doing well mate. ;P

I went to Nuneaton today and tried this place called the Horseshoes, rated as the best pub in the Nuneaton/Bedworth area by CAMRA. Was a bit disappointed though, Good Beer Guide had it down as a faithfully restored Edwardian place with roaring coal fires and a sunny beer garden whereas it was a mediocre place with generic decor and loud fruit machines. Beer was decent though. Have you tried just not going to Nuneaton?

Bumping again because we've always struggled with pubs in Stalybridge, although many have it down as a good drinking town. Where do you go?! And does anywhere do food (just a soup or sarnie is fine)? We're playing there tomorrow. And no, the railway station inn is grim.

The Buffet Bar at Stalybridge station is good, but I thought that was common knowledge?

The only town centre I've ever seen with a tripe shop.

Besides, everyone knows Boreham Wood charge away fans to get into their boozers.

Anybody know any decent boozers in Boreham.Wood?

If you're driving there or getting a coach then selection is scarce, there used to be a Spoons in Borehamwood but I have no idea if it's still open. If you're going via train, stop off at St. Albans and drink there (plenty of decent pubs by the train station) as the train from St. Albans to Borehamwood is 15 minutes.

This. Don't go to Boreham Wood unless you absolutely have to.

Thanks guys. Well it looks like I will be working next week now in any case which in one way I am glad about to be absolutely honest.

Be happy with a replay. Force them to come up here on a Tuesday night. Think we will turn them over.
