Hello all. I live in Sweden and still avidly, even compulsively support my home town club Wrexham. I probably trawl through the forums more than ever now as it's a nice little connection to the homeland. I love having to explain to Swedes how I still support my club through thick and thin and I've even converted a few. One fella has even updated his Facebook profile with him donning a Wrexham shirt and holding a Wrexham mug. So I was just wondering what other non league ex-pats are out there.
Over and out.

Yeah, I'm in Korea. Have been here for about 4 years now, but will be heading back to the UK next September/October. In some ways being down in this division is better while living away, because we get more games on TV than we would do in League 2. Trying to explain to Koreans that you support a club in the 5th division isn't particularly easy though! Midweek games are difficult, due to the time difference.

I was in Germany for a while, obviously there are a number of ex pats out there but didn't I know too many Conference clubs fans, unless Stevenage were still non-league at the time.

I know that FGR have a few foreign based fans, in France, Australia, USA and we even have a small Scandinavian supporters branch, who sometimes come over for games. Most recent was Ebbsfleet away a couple of years back I think. They were top lads, and the effort they made to come over to watch us was brilliant.

Trying to ruin another thread?

Are you sure you're not GTFC1979?
Very sure, thanks for asking.
But it is definately not getting tiresome you saying that though.........

I think most Lincolnshire folk think you need a passport to go over the Humber Bridge or any further south than Newark

Our new South African investor is a fan. We also have posters on Vitals from Australia (one of whom is flying back for the Grimsby game), Alaska, Germany...any more?

I think we also had a group of Norwegians who came to a game a few years back, got treated like royalty and paraded around the pitch at half time.

EDIT - How could I forget the notorious fan we have in Nice, in the south of France!!!

Pretty sure we also have fans in Spain and Finland.

Long time stalker, first post on here.
Get back to England about every 5 years. Was back last month and managed to get to a couple of Imps games (Tranmere and Bromley). Love midweek games as I get to listen (and occasionally watch) while I am at work. Over the years my co-worker have gotten used to my loud outbursts of delight/dismay breaking the relative silence of the office. They even know what "wankers" and "bollocks" means as they hear it an awful lot.

This is probably my favourite GTFC1979 joke.

It's actually the best joke he's ever made. On the subject, is he still pretending that it's not him? He was rumbled immediately.

Yes, I believe so. A few less smileys but still the same posting style. The time in which he was found out was quite impressive.

We used to have a Norwegian fan club, I think they still exist but are less active than they used to be.

The fan club originated due to how easy it was to play as Rusdhen & Diamonds on old championship manager games, particularly 01/02 I believe.

Every team has a Norwegian fan club I swear. I remember in Four Four Two there was a bit on Scandinavians adopting random lower league English sides, including someone who supported Orient despite never having set foot in Leyton.

There was also a story I remember of someone from somewhere abroad (specific) who was Forest Green on Football Manager, ended up becoming attached to them and supporting them because of that.

We have a few ex-pats spread out in places like Australia, Hong Kong, Ireland and the US. Due to being able to play as Sutton on games like Championship Manager we have a guy from Sweden who's been over to watch us a few times, plus some other euro types from Denmark and Germany.

That might be our Finnish supporter, he speaks with great authority on footballing matters and asks some pretty searching questions on our forum, but I don't think he has ever been to a game...at least our Norwegians turn up at least once a season.
