Probably about their natural level then, however what a shame for the players and supporters. Yet another case where I'm glad we're owned by our supporters.

Likely be a reprieve for Colwyn Bay then, as they finished on 45 today (level with Stalybridge) whereas Farnborough have 30.

I never had any time for the team. I am not surprised it has happened, but I am surprised at the speed with which they have been discarded. Still, it gave the fans (all 300 of them) a taste of the big time, which they would never have had otherwise.

A village club going back to their natural level after having a few fantastic years, I am struggling to understand the outrage on twitter etc. A few players I wouldn't mind in our squad for next year and Billy Heath could be a new contender for the County job.

Surely they can at least have a stab at the division on a reduced budget?

Concord seem to be getting on alright in the South.

I think the "outrage" comes from people saying that the situation shouldn't have been created in the first place. Such a mess and doesn't do non-league any favours at all.

Haven't seen that part mentioned. Just lots of fans from big clubs not understanding that if it wasn't for the Allams they wouldn't have even heard of North Ferriby in the first place.

Brackley and Gainsborough have done the same in our league this year.

Absolutely disgusting. Really feel for the Ferriby fans. Looks like the greedy Allams are running off with all the money from the Trophy win too. The club has come such a long way in the last few seasons too.

Why do you think that is?

I'm just not sure why it took them so long to realise that a team from a village with a population of 3,700 was never going to attract thousands of fans and 'match the mentioned funding' . Surely they had some idea before they invested a quarter of a million into the club.

My point was without the investment the small number of North Ferriby wouldn't have had the fantastic last few years. They are well within their rights to take that investment away. It was a good journey for them while it lasted now they fall back to their natural level and have the memories of Wembley and visiting other ex league sides and beating them.

Exactly - Concord have got a budget that wouldn't look out of place in the Essex Senior, yet have managed a playoff tilt in the Conf. South. Look at Worthing in Isthmian 1 South - they have finished 6th on a budget of £0.
Yes they would have to slash wages, basically get a new squad etc... but they could at least give it a crack.
I also join the number who shed no tears at them losing their cash.

Welcome to 1FF.

I really feel sorry for Ferriby supporters. Yes they have over achieved in recent seasons but this is disgusting. As mentioned why cant they approach next season on a limited budget like Concord etc.

Poor from the Allams.

You shouldn't. They have less than 200 "fans". That's how many they had when we played them in the Unibond Premier before the money was put in. They've had the ride of their life that only happened because the money went in. Now there going back where they belong and everyone can forget all about them. It's the natural order re-asserting itself.

Exactly, it was never going to last and was never going to be sustainable. They've had a journey for a few years but nobody should be crying for the Ferriby fans now that their team will return to the evo-stik level which is about right for a club of their size. To quote one of my favourite songs by The Streets... they came with nothing and left with nothing, everything else was borrowed.

Did anyone hear Nathan Peat moaning when his pay cheque came in with his inflated wages showing? Thought not.

I don't think you should be able to relegate yourself or drop out of a league. If you can't handle the level you're at, start right from the bottom again. League positions dictate where you should be, not the Club.

Look at Hyde this season. They could have taken the easy option. Gainsborough thought about it but dug in.

Enjoyed my visit there earlier in the season, but it was effectively the game that killed our season. Can't say I'm all that bothered.

That's ok if the club still exists after the money is withdrawn plenty of cases where the club and all it's history are gone forever.
