No pace up front, central midfield haven't worked out how to play together yet and a back five that get terrified every time the ball is swung in at head height. Other than that we are where I expected to be this early in the season.

1-0 to the Cobblers with the inevitable late winner from Revell. Cue further meltdown on TCR.

Feeling a bit more optimistic for some reason. We've won both our away games so far, and we should have more quality than Northampton with the likes of Agard, Reeves, Colclough (on loan from Wigan), Carruthers, Bowditch etc Every single player we've signed has either come from last year's L1 playoff teams, or from the Championship.

Wigan are 28 unbeaten so I wouldn't talk about our quality.

Reeves and Agard are very good though. Agard will only get 20-25 minutes.

Norhampton out of sight without really 'battering' the Dons. Good header from Revell, thought the keeper could have done better for the 1st and the wall just stood glued to the ground for the 3rd, good technique/finish from Taylor though.

No surprise to see Paul Downing looking poor against a big centre forward.. James Hanson..Tom Pope.. alll good vs us when he played.

Revell is a ridiculous human, he's immense. One of the oldest members of the team but he's everywhere and he just bullies people. Good performances all over the shop.

Excellent performance yesterday. As said elsewhere, Revell was
Immense. Great free kick my Taylor. Shame about the penalty miss though (it should never have been a penalty anyway).And I said we would never score 3 in a game . Shows what I know.

Enjoyable game and massive for us to get our first league win this season. Means after 6 games our start now looks really solid. Revell was a beast up top as he has been so far. Beautyman has to be kept centrally after that, hasnt been poor out wide but was far improved in the middle.

Its a tough decision now to decide whether John-Joe comes straight back in and if so who for, perhaps McCourt?

If MK had someone like a Le Fondre who lives for tap ins you would be fine, can understand fans frustration though when instead of having a shot its a pass backwards etc.

Don't think it would be fair to drop McCourt though after yesterday's performance. Thought he was brilliant. But John Joe is an important part of the side. A good dilemma for Page to have all these options.

Hope the fans dont get on Gorres back to much either as it seems is beginning to happen. The frustration is Baldock figured out after about 50 mins he only cuts in, in the pic below you can see he literally squares up to him at 90 degrees. Gorre could either hit it with the outside of his right there or just a small shift onto his left and hit it across the keeper. I have never seen a defender so square on so deep, hes only about 10 yards out!

If he can go down the left just a few times it will make cutting onto his right so much more effective. This is not me wanting to get on his back, just a clear observation that this is a massive floor, could be so much better with the left peg.

You can tell he could be a good player but his decision making is awful and has absolutely no confidence to use his bloody left foot. Hopefully he can get that coached into him because he was Sussed out early on as he always cuts in on his right.
