Well, it wasn't great but it was better. Northampton if they'd really pushed us would probably have got the points, we are brittle and it felt like if we conceded first we'd buckle entirely.
We didn't though and the keeper, centre back pairing and Tootle looked ok. V Evina looked weak defending, better going forwards. Hussin looked more physical than usual but I'm not sure he'll ever last 90 mins. Hemmings and Allessandra looked good.
Northampton looked moderate their MOTM Crook was all over Evina who must be a foot shorter.

I missed last week, but first time this season I actually left a ground feeling positive. Felt like we've bottomed out and with a bit of luck and some confidence can go on to actually beat someone.
I didn't think Northampton were great but a couple of weeks ago they'd have rolled us over by virtue of them being big. That was all you need to be be to beat us so there is some improvement.
Hemmings and Boudwijn must be disappointed to not be challenging at the top end but are being paid a fair old wedge so I expect maximum effort from them and don't really feel sorry for them to be honest.

Fair reflection of the game. 14 officers I counted in the away end not including the 4 walking around the steak house behind the main stand. Don't ever talk to me about police cuts. Neither side had any trouble causers there today after 5 minutes officers should have been deployed elsewhere.

Last year in League 1, out of all the games played, 6 of the top 10 games with the biggest police presence took place at Sixfields. Out of every single game played. It's madness.
