Always a tough nut to crack for us are Norwich at Carrow Road. They have had a great season, so far, and are unlucky to only be 6th. McGinn will be a huge miss, but it may be a blessing for Friday nights game at QPR, and Connor coming in to replace him is a good fit for tonight’s game. No doubt we will have a go, and try and push Norwich back. Hoping our defence can hold out to maybe just the 1 goal to give us a chance. Under Bruce, this would have been unwatchable, and a near certain defeat. A point wouldn’t be a bad result, but can’t help thinking we need to push on ASAP. 2.1 Villa, 26.018(1172)

Decent first half, but shocking second. Norwich were superb tonight, and easily the better team. Disappointing, and a lot for Dean Smith to sort out.

Knew Rhodes would start bagging as soon as we let him go.

Villa under Smith is like when you play 20 handicap ok golf then go to the club pro for lessons....he reconstructs everything to do with your stance, swing etc and you actually get a little worse and it doesn't work...until you persist with what he's told you....and your golf improves dramatically beyond what you thought was ok. Persist, he plays the right type of stuff, players need to learn that different way.

It’s going to take time, probably a lot of time. I’ve got a feeling this season may be a right off with all the work that needs doing. Our fans are going to have to be patient. The mentality at the club needs to change, on and off the pitch.
