Still fancy a win here, but if we perform anything like last week then we're in trouble.

2-0

Fuck it. My nerves have actually subsided somewhat as we've got closer to Saturday (I doubt that will be the case on the morning!) and I'm putting that down to the fact that they generally aren't anything to fear. I expect us to nullify them and it's all about whether we can take our infrequent chances. Needs to be in normal time though, we will be dead on our feet come 90m.

Nervy 0-1.

I'm expecting a similar game to last week, decided by the odd goal. I have a feeling it's going to go to extra time, Norwich to win 2-1 aet.

I think we'll go with the same team as last week, with Anderson in for Varney, which is fine with me. Hopefully McGoldrick is fit enough for a cameo role in the last 20 minutes, especially if we need a goal.

I've been trying not to think about it all week so I'm not feeling as sick as I was this time last week. I think in part it's because after how poor we were Saturday, I've convinced myself we'll lose and have (slowly) got used to the idea. It's going to be unbearable though - I don't care if we go up or not but losing to THEM in a game that means so much... the thought of it is torture, I dread to think what the reality of it would feel like. I've tried telling myself it's just football and shit happens but it doesn't matter, I still feel like it's going to be the lowest I've ever felt supporting Norwich. Football is a real jerk. You just know the team that, in the end, only just remained in the play-offs because another team bottled it more spectacularly (fuck you Derby, you useless c***!) will get to the final. McCarthy has been spoon-feeding them this "no-one thinks we can do it" nonsense and they've all lapped it up. It means all the pressure is on us and I'm supremely confident we'll bottle it.

The most annoying thing is that it was so avoidable. All was needed was either Derby to not be spineless dicks, Middlesbrough to have beaten a Hughton-led Brighton or Town to have not lost at Blackburn. I mean we beat Fulham ffs. The one time it might have been better to have not beaten them and we won. Seriously football? Fuck you.

I think the longer than Ipswich go without scoring against us the more likely we are to win. They have to score and whilst they will try and sit in and catch us on the counter if the game continues at 0-0 into the latter periods then they will have to come out and we will exploit them. If we play as well as we can then we'll win this.

Likewise, if we nullify you as well as we know we can and take our chances when they come, we'll win this.

Friday night nerves are well and truly here. How much sleep I'll get tonight is questionable.

I think you are confused, there are no away goals in the play offs. You seem to be labouring under the idea that Ipswich have to score, or at least thats the impression I get from this post. This stays at 0-0, extra time and penalties are the result.

4-0 to Norwich. The extra class will tell when it matters.

I know there are no away goals. But it has to be decided on the day. I doubt that Ipswich will be playing for penalties.

I hope Ipswich win but I think Norwich will.

I very much doubt Ipswich will beat Middlesbrough in the final but reckon Norwich will.

Then again, I don't really watch this league.

Please an early Ipswich goal - I want an interesting game, and preferably a Shoot-Out to decide it...

Too much to ask?

Ipswich very much the dominant side in the opening periods.

Tyrone Mings reminds me of a 10x better version of Jordan Spence - he looks very good.

I know there's a lot riding on on this but the football has been atrocious. No build-up from either side whatsoever.

Its a Derby and its THE Biggest one ever. I have seen this many a time in the Merseyside derby. If you want to see good Championship football. Just take a look at Middlesbrough last night. Their Third goal was superb

As I say that - 2-1.

Redmond through the keeper.

Do Ipswich always play like this?

They've persisted with long ball football since minute one, and their strikers have been fairly isolated.

How did Jerome just miss that?

That goes in and it's game over.
