The Ched Evans & Clayton MacDonald Trophy.

It will probably be a draw. 1-1.

Tough game but the type we've produced our best showings in so far (WBA, Burnley, Wigan). We've had a rocky patch but four points in two games has settled us a bit so hopefully a repeat of Boxing Day (apart from taking me five hours to do the usual 75 minute trip home after to Leicestershire in the snow!)

Hopefully we've actually learnt to defend corners in training! I'd start with Uche and Dodds in for AJ and Daniel.

Hoping for a narrow win but think we'll be good for a point 1-1

Completely deserve to be two up at half-time. Why can we not pay like this against the poorer teams in the league like Oldham?

Next goal will be vital in how the game finishes. Hope we don't do our usual and start to sit back and invite pressure much too soon.

Cruised that and the last gasp goal was flattering to United. The referee was dreadful for us how on earth we didn't get a penalty when Enoch was taken out. Easily the weakest I've seen the Blades.

Police made a complete phucking balls up again

Well done to Sheff Utd's top boy who pulled a knife out on Hamil Road, big lad you are aren't you

Routine, convincing win against a scrappy side devoid of creativity.

Could have been 4 with Daniel crashing against the crossbar and the referee, who was dogshlt, bottling a stonewall Pen for the swipe on Andoh in the second half.

Good win, just incredibly frustrating to concede a scrappy, nothing goal from a corner, again.

Well deserved win, pity we let the scrappy goal in. Utd didn't even deserve a goal. Everyone in the team were quality.

Apparently a blade got stabbed in hand. Sounds like coppers have ended up giving it to blades too.

Blunts overran the stewards and filled them in big time while the police backed off and watched

Not surprised about the nonsense after the match. Sheff United have their own contingent of knuckle dragging, yellow toothed Dole scrounging Neanderthals just as we do.

Vale were excellent again today and it only makes the poor performances over the last few weeks that more frustrating. Should have cruised today in regards to the scoreline and 1-2 flattered United in my opinion, although they clearly have some good players for this level and will be up there come the end of the season. We're another goal-scorer away from a definite play-off side.

Deserved win against a poor Sheff Utd team. They seemed to have no urgency even when losing, at one stage their keeper and defenders seemed to be playing piggy in the middle with Uche as he chased the ball around as they knocked it around between themselves. Could've been a different outcome had they scored in the first minute of the second half but Jak saved well.

Nah. We're too fed up with the whole situation to put him under pressure.

His inability to bring in a better center-half and center-mid are increasingly annoying however.

Comfortable win in the end.
What a shame that many were talking about the referee after the game. We've had some inept ones in our time but this guy really takes some beating. I've never seen such a one sided bias to a 'bigger' team in all my life. He even played 6 minutes of injury time when he should have played 4 to ensure that Sheffield United at least scored. As stonewall a penalty as you'll ever see as well. Should never ref again after that.

As for the game, we started slowly and I thought Sheffield were looking like the better team, but once we scored we were in control.

Defended well second half but never looked in serious trouble. Their defence couldn't handle uche and then when two nil down they were knocking it around between each other at the back. Where was the urgency?

Another example of this dreadful league, Sheffield were in 4th at the start of the game!

We've beaten Wigan, Burnley, Sheffield United and drew over two hours against WBA I'd have took that at the start of the season and shows the Progress made. We just need to take it on against the poorer teams as after playing the two pre season favourites and Gills who have started well all have looked very very average and this league is there for the taking for anyone.

I didn't realise that you'd changed your name this season? Every media outlet also appears to have missed it too.

You seem to think we have changed our name, not seen a media outlet make that mistake yet this season. You'll usually get the odd lazy journalist at some point though.

Sheffield United have certainly not changed their name. I have just checked mate, your still called Sheffield United.

Port Vale stewards had it with Wigan the other week and then the Vale lads were pretty well turned out for that game to. Thats football though and away days should have that intimidating factor.

Just remembered after re-reading your post Blademan, did see a blunt crying his eyes out after getting the old staffs police jalapeño spray treatment from a 5"6 7/10 blonde carrying an ASP baton that was bigger than her

No idea Dave, one of those wiry ones lining the top of Hamil road between the club shop and the park
