I’ve seen you on many a Notts match day thread this season Adam, whilst Stags were playing elsewhere. Seemed to increase a fair bit when we started to choke, funny that lol. I wonder why you post on our threads? Oh I know it’s a football forum. It’s what happens all the time

So many words used today and you haven’t felt the need to confirm you live in Manchester not Mansfield. Pssstt nobody asked!

Praise be there is a god

Luke He was upset and clearly frustrated by the 99th minute goal. Surely that helps people understand the interview?
Jeez, you don’t need Columbo’s help to work that out. It’s not the first time a manager or player has said something like this.

Love how Adam is desperately trying to make it something bigger than it is lol. How many times have you watched the interview by now?

Please don’t compare Fatty Fat Boy Evans to Kevin Nolan , that’s like comparing Mansfield to Nottingham. Yuk!

If we had won we would of surely released a DVD of the game, recorded a song, produced an array of merchandise, a statue of Hawkridge would be erected outside the ground. And the fans would of sung about it for years to come. Or maybe not, maybe just 2 extra points.

I disagree Mansfield’s biggest problem is (potentially) the new manager. Like a a balloon slowly deflating since taking over. Fortunately for them FGR will allow them to play their Liverpool-esque free flowing passing and high pressure football so DF will finally get his first win as Mansfield manager.

Both sides appear to be stumbling and limping into a play off spot at best

Our change in manager has nothing to do with the 3 draws in my opinion,
I wasn't a fan of Evans and some of his selections and performances were bad if not worse than the last 3 of DF,
Our season has been a story of a good run .. a relatively poor run, either under Evans or DF, Evans last game v Coventry was far more lacklustre than the 3 draws under DF, we couldn't create a chance against 10 bloody men for 60 minutes!!
I think in defence of DF he's tried to stick with the same team of SE but I think now he'll be braver and play 4 3 3 or something.. after all SE would never had put Lee Angol on and left Hemmings and Rose on! SE would've swapped a striker,
Small thing but it turned out to be a positive one because when we played 3 up front at County we looked a lot livelier in the final 3rd,
Albeit a penalty but I could sense something was going to give. I'm just grateful for the county players for wasting time !
It proved to be their undoing and just enough time for us to get the goal [emoji4][emoji106]

Perhaps it was the pre-match beers, but I don't recall us time wasting that much - certainly no-one got booked or anything.

I'd say the added time came more from the lengthy injuries to Rose and Pearce, who looked considerably shakier than I've seen him before. Well, since he played for us that is.

Think the ball boys drying the ball every throw in for the home team only ,corner kicks where the ball was getting blown about a bit ,substitutions it all adds up plus 7 minutes was the minimum amount of added time ,not exactly rocket science

Pearce has been superb for us, a real Colossal figure, he had a good game on Saturday but I think he performs better with Zander Diamond at the side of him,
Against FGR next sat it'll be Zander & Pearce at the heart of the defence .. I'd be confident of 3 points if so.

I guessed 7 mins just before the board wasn’t shown, so no surprise there.
It’s usually 2/3 , Stead and Pearce were both down for a while while. Ball boys dried the ball a few times (or every time if you are the bargain stag abroad?!??) , and corner takers did have a nightmare. So all good with me. Mansfield first meaningful shot on target on 97 and penalty a minute or two later would of just happened a few minutes earlier if it wasn’t a surprise windy, or less towels used for throw ins anddddddd I’m bored.

The game ended 1-1 , point each, no change at the top for the two sides . That’s it we’ve sadly fallen into the Lincoln city trap of over analysing a game, in too much detail.

Good crowd, average atmosphere probably due to the weather as much as the limited chances for both sides

The guy next to Pearce had a shocker IMO. So no surprises to hear Diamond is an improvements.

23/20, money on DF to break the sequence

Rhys Bennet is quality tbf,
But he's a right back imo, I hope DF plays him at RB and diamond & Pearce centre, we'd be solid at the back, all we need is to go 3 up top and we'll win more than we draw!

Options are limited though.

Angol is infuriating, but did alright when he came on. If somehow we can instill some confidence in him, he could be a real gem. Unfortunately, I've kinda been hoping for this all season!

There-in lies the problem with Angol. At the minute, he just doesn't have the 'go' in him.

Well, evans had us all believe he was amazing! We paid Peterborough handsomely for him also (though apparently according to the BBC - Peterborough paid us £250,000 for evans!

Whereas Rose was the "replacement" for green and I'm happy with that, I'd take green over Angol any day, any time right now. The only thing on Angols side is age.

Angol still has 8 goals this season and I’d bet he’s had half the minutes Green had for us last season when he got 13 or whatever it was. Like you say if we can get him up for it then he could be a handful, Not sure why Spencer ever comes on ahead of him though.

There’s the Evans master plan. Get Mansfield to pay peterboro for a player so they have enough money for compo back to Mansfield so he could join them.
Definitely maybe.

Certainly! There were more than a few rumours going round when we signed ricky Miller a week before he left for Peterborough!

Angol has hardly played and scored a few, he was the main reason we started to look dangerous in the County game too.

I noticed in the highlights analysis on stagsnet there was a suspect decision in the game, it had to do with the County goal not the Penalty. The irony.

Yeah, Angol will score goals but he always looks like he could give that little bit more but seems content with just doing enough.

Angol is the biggest fanny we have on the team in my opinion. Always scared of messing his bush head up.

Looks dangerous when we've played a reasonable amount of football into feet. But more often than not, and especially recently, we've been too direct, and Angol winning a header is like rocking horse shit.
Funnily enough, the actual "target man" who we tend to use as our go-to ball, is Danny Rose, and he's the smallest striker out of the four we have!

Danny Rose certainly has a good leap on him. Impressive. Angol when he came on , less so, hit the deck 3 times in his first 5 mins on the pitch

Lol, :fish:that’s a quality response , although in the past you’ve used some language not expected from a man of your years. Did West Bridgford teach you no manners?

Tell us about your lovely other half? Family? And starsign? I’m guessing Libra maybe Taurus?

Tell us more Costa Del Stag :2thumb:

So in 3 days we've spoken about
Attendances
How Mansfield take more to county to home games
How Nottingham is apparently amazing compared to Mansfield
How we've 3 stands and it's supposedly ugly.
How Nolan made himself look a tit
That both sides were awful
That sometimes fans don't see eye to eye

The conclusion remains the same
County STILL can't beat Mansfield

Well that’s not comprehensive list now is it Adam lol, cherry picking again. You forgot to mention your regular financial advice for a football chairman in huge debt? The Twitter activity of the Notts Chairman. You've compared sideline behaviour of our manager to your ex manager (clear withdrawal symptoms)

The conclusion remains the same Stags still haven’t been in a higher league than Notts since before you were born.

1UP ;)

Yes. Something you will see I said on this thread more than once before kick off. I already knew ;)

You are right some things don’t change! Like Notts not beating Mansfield head to head and Mansfield never being in a higher division, well once .

I’ll take that.
