On special request from our friend Dirk, here's this thread nice and early (if you can call Wednesday early).

United seem to have clicked away from home and despite not winning convincingly we always seem to have enough gas to pull off a win (or a result).
At home the complete opposite is the case, the team just don't seem to like playing in front of our ever decreasing home support. Anyway Orient visit Nottingham on Saturday.

Some fun facts (no really).

Both teams sit on 11 points
Both teams won and lost 3, drawing 2
In the last 3, Both teams have won 1 drew 1 lost 1.
Orient are undefeated away from home, so are Notts and have the best away record in League 2.
Notts haven't won at home yet, Orient have won once.
Notts have the worst record in 1st half's of games. Orient have the 4th best.
Notts are yet to keep a clean sheet this season.
Record between the 2 sides historically. Notts won 30, Orient 28, drawn 19.
Last Notts home win vs Orient September 2010!

I have gone for a home win in the Oakeys predictor, so you know whats not going to happen!

I feel honoured ;).

Just saw this thread in the new threads section on the right and immediately jumped into it. Thanks for taking the time to keep me informed

Damn, I wanted to go for a draw. And because my predictions concerning Notts are normally false, too, that would mean that the only possible result would be a loss?

So, I decide to stick with you and go also for a win so there's at least a 50/50 chance for a draw, right? ;)

Some bad looking stats for Notts at home this season and Orient seem to have the upper hand on us the last few years. 1-2 Orient. Hope I'm wrong, I have been every match this season on different forums.
If we start at 3pm rather than 4.15p.m. and try breaking sweat in the first half and playing with some tempo we would probably do better than previous matches where we've been cautious and pedestrian.
Who knows, I haven't yet seen us play well this season , yet we could be in the play off spots Saturday evening with four wins and a draw in the last six matches if we win.

We are fucking crap at home, but we have actually looked capable away from home on a few occasions, with the exception of a poor first half away at Grimsby (Which we pulled together second half and won 2-1), still not convinced by us at all, we are very, very shakey at the back and struggle to keep clean sheets - Only one all season for us.

Our new right back Jens Janse will start, Nicky Hunt is out for a while injured.

Jay Simpson is at least back in the mix and he should 100% start, our best performance and only clean sheet of the season occured when he started his only game for us so far.

I'd also bring back Nigel Atangana.

Also saw Jacob on the Channel 5 football show last Saturday celebrating Jon Steads winner!

Reckon this one has draw written all over it. Wouldn't surprise me if we tried to play like the away team at home.

County remind me so much of Orient.

Relegated from League 1 and had a disappointing first League 2 season, followed by insipid signings and seething discontentment from home supporters with many points coming away from home.

Can see Orient nicking this 0-1, with County to do the same in the reverse fixture.

Best of luck after Saturday County fans, always had a soft spot after living in Nottingham for 7 years, I like that they let you nip outside for a crafty one at half time.

Non-event of a first half, enjoyable second half. Stead and Forte are going to give us a chance against anyone.

Not sure how us having a penalty turned into a red for Louis Laing, mind.

Poor again from us, as soon as we fall behind the teams heads drop, after a steady enough first half.

County should've had a penalty, then a minute later Laing was sent off for kicking the ball away, which was stupid!

Our players and managements efforts again awful.

Notts deserved the win and shaded a low key game and were more effective than us.

Thought Orient were a team of pounders and after the first ten minutes we got to grips with their style of play.
It looked pretty even until we scored . First goal a good move , second and third class individual efforts.
From a Notts point of view this was a match we would have lost last season. We may not be a classy team but we are a team that works hard and is methodical .
To me, Orient didn't look as good a team as last season under Nolan or Hendon and not a patch on Slades teams of the last couple of years.

Sheridan sneaking us up the table. I'm happy with our quiet climb. Really need to kick on and go on a run soon otherwise we will be mid table nomads this season. As Jacob says we have a chance with stead and Forte we have a chance even if the rest of the team lacks quality

I think we are on a run, Youpies, four wins and a draw in the last six is better than we've managed for a couple of years, and two winnable games next week to come.

Here's what fans thought before the game (including predictions)

The game was quite entertaining, well once the half time whistle had blown - neither side prior really impressed and it looked destined for a draw until Notts scored. Orient was pretty poor and I felt that they would give us a good game but that only happened once the referee sent us down to nine men. If we could play like we did in the second half, but for the whole 90 minutes, we would be giving the sides we have struggled against a much better fight.

I left feeling like the penalty turndown and sending off was just a minor inconvenience.

Normally for Notts fans it would be all that was spoken about after 90 minutes, so thank god we won.

Nicky Hunt kneeing Collins in the head after the penalty appeal was really fucking nasty.
