Leyton Orient go into this fixture under a huge cloud, with manager Russell Slade admitting that he has been given one game to secure his position. Despite early season cup successes at both Peterborough and Aston Villa, the league has been a different story for the O's. 1 win in the first 6 games has seen them slump to one place above the relegation zone, including a dismal defeat to 10-man Colchester on Saturday, and new Orient owner Francesco Beschetti seemingly to lose patience with last season's joint manager of the year. County have made a mediocre start themselves with wins, draws and losses in equal proportion. However a battling display from Shaun Derry's young side saw them earn a well-deserved point against a high flying Peterborough at the weekend. Last season's fixture at Meadow Lane saw a 0-0 draw and a similar result this season would, I believe, not be enough to save Slade's job.

Orient still have injuries in the shape of Kevin Lisbie and Lloyd James, both of whom missed Saturday's defeat to Colchester. However, the return of Romain Vincelot from suspension will boost Russell Slade's midfield options and Cox, MacAnuff, Simpson, Batt and Omosuzi will all be pushing for starts after such a poor display from the starting XI at the weekend. Notts County have their own injury worries with 5 players missing out against Peterborough and Shaun Derry naming a defence with an average age of 21. The draw against Peterborough could see Derry stick with the same players, with many fans suggesting they deserve to keep their places.

Slade has the most important team selection of his O's career to make this Tuesday. In a strange quirk of fate and fixtures, the Orient manager could see his career at Brisbane road both begin and end against Notts County. So far Slade has remained loyal to players he knows, so for him to gamble now would seem unlikely, so I would suggest the only changes on Tuesday will see Vincelot come in for Marvin Bartley and Dean Cox for Chris Dagnall. If it were my team choice I would go with Woods; Omosuzi, Lowry, Clarke, Cuthbert; Cox, Vincelot, Pritchard, Batt; Henderson, Simpson. Then again, my job isn't on the line.

Nice post Billy! Welcome aboard.

Yes it does seem like this is win or bust for Slade, which is quite an example of the sad state of modern day football. Ironically Slade overachieved with a small budget and is now underachieving with a large expectant one. I think it will be a tough game, the players and manager under pressure to get the job done and County being very tough to beat this season under the new Derry regime.

Sadly, I can only see a 1-1 draw for Orient, spelling the end for the Slade era.

Just because someone else has done it, it doesn't mean you can't, just reply to it in the thread :)

Notts have been looking deadly this season and I can see them getting an upset.

somehow slade is still there, the performance by the sound of it kept in the job until saturday, but saturday is a must win considering how poorly scunthorpe are playing at the moment. I think cox will start so that wil be a massive boost for slade

Can't help but think Slade will be gone by the end of the season,
Can understand if the 'president' has other plans in terms of managership, he just needs to be reasonable in all his decisions, needs to consider the past 4 years..cos he probably only heard of orient someway through last season and all he saw was the good stuff,
It is his money which he's invested so technically he can do what he likes, all I want as a fan is he gives the team a reasonable amount of time before pulling the 'curtains' on Slade's wonderful tenure, we surely won't find a manager like him #SaveOurSlade

Let's start off by demolishing sc**thorpe :)))
