Hard to say for sure it cost us a point, but the facts are it was 0-0 and an even game so obviously it had a huge impact. It was clearly a ridiculous decision by the referee at the time and at least that has been recognised by the appeal. 11 v 11, we may or may not have got a point. 10 v 11 it was game over.

It was always a soft red, but surprised if was overturned. It did make a big difference to the game we scored very soon afterwards.
The ref had a mare, if he had booked a player sooner the heat would have gone out of some of the challenges.
We've seen it before this season where the ref tries to let things go and the players just ramp up the aggression until the ref says enough's enough and gets a red card out.
That Nolan subbed players on yellows towards the end shows how much faith he had in he ref.

Lower league referee makes bad decision. Nothing to see here. It's annoying but those type of decisions work in our favour too. We lost, it's not the end of the world. We are a mid-table side this season and I doubt whether this result will alter that fact in the long run.

Pretty obvious that Nolan is having an influence on the referees' decision making. Some justice please!

I know, that's two so far this season where we've got a bit lucky after the Scott Wiseman one for Chesterfield. Guess that's the way it goes when you're a good team.
