Hi Zeus, didn't know you'd made it over here.

They don't charge you to get in Hooters afaik, I've never been in on a Saturday afternoon though so...

The Dutton Figo will cause havoc down the left on Saturday and Chesterfield will have no reply.

3-0 to Notts County, Hayhurst with a goal and two assists.

He's good Hayhurst, I like him. Shame our other attacking players are shiiiite. I'd go with this:

Carroll
Dumbuya Mullins Hollis Adams
Jones
C.Thompson Noble
Woolery Hayhurst
Bajner

Good, kinda weird at the moment as out starting XI looks the best it was all season when you consider during our 'good period' we had Garry Thompson as a makeshift forward supplementing Jake Cassidy and Shaun Harrad and Stephen McLaughlin on the wing. We've just had issues with Noble getting a 5 match ban, a cruel run of games and I think that's set us back a bit. That starting XI I put should be more than enough to do well for the last few months of the season, especially if Lord James of Spencer returns at the end (which I have a sneaky suspicion he will...surprise entrant at the Royal Rumble type stuff).

But yeah, Carroll is great if you take away the fact he's a fucking bellend who gets booked more than every other keeper in the division combined. Our back four is decent despite the shit performance on Saturday, we've got 3 good central midfielders in Jones, Noble and Thompson. Our attacking options aren't the best but between Thompson, Bajner, Hayhurst and Woolery - you've got something there. We need to fuck Thomas and Santos back off to Derby and replace them with better loanees though.

We've got enough to turn it around and finish in the top half (which would be ace considering we purposely slashed the budget to try and claw back recent losses. Trew's already set the budget for next season and it's much bigger). I just don't think this weekend will be it, we need a couple of games against weak opposition to get back into a groove, Chesterfield will have their tails up and our home form means we're close to the fans properly getting on the players' backs...which is a bit unfair but it's Notts fans so #DerryOut #NotGoodEnough #Disgraceful

They didn't charge us earlier in the season. Strange experience.

Hooters is a legitimately nice place tbf, it's gets a bad wrap as some overpriced den of middle-aged wannabe LADs and oranged-up birds but the girls are genuinely quite pleasant and during your average trip it's a nice place to drink/eat/watch football. I honestly wouldn't go near it on a Saturday though with some the losers that frequent it in their stone island trying to get photos wiv the burds #Hooters. So go somewhere else unless you're one of the above, preferably if you're getting there early stay in the city centre as long as possible.

We didn't find too many nutjobs in there to be fair, although I don't doubt there are some who go there! Everyone there seemed pleasant enough, and plenty of tv screens for the early/late games.

Well the ground is near Hooters, so that might be difficult.

You know what I meant. I won't be going inside. I'll perhaps pass in taxi around 12.45 and on foot at 5 o'clock.

Waterfront is class in the summer when the cricket is on, not quite the same appeal when it's -3 though. City Centre jobby I reckon

Smith and Noble in midfield. Put everything you own on a red card

Me too.

I'm beginning to think we might actually do something this season. We can scrap for results when we need to and can turn it on when we need to.

Chesterfield didn't look much tbh, they missed a striker like Doyle who added a bit upfront. Lavery couldn't turn his man or get behind and Gnanduillet is just a but of a donkey.

It's frustrating more than disappointing for us. We're not getting outplayed or playing badly, we just seem to be not quite good enough to win every week. No idea what we're doing tactically either, I'm cool with 451 but Bajner has to have more support than that.

Curtis Thompson great again, a shining light this season. Adams had a great game too. Still feel hard done by given the utterly freak goal and the fact Mullins should've had a penalty but blah blah blah not gonna argue over it or get upset

Grinding out away wins is something we need to do more of.

Half the time Doyle played we still looked like we lacked something upfront.

Happy to take the points and we'll adjust to life without Doyle.

I just wish we had some excitement in the team, a little more flair. Hard work is not the most interesting spectacle.
