We played pretty well but it wasn't to be. Will be interesting to see if Southgate stays on, he did play more attacking football this time around but not sure on the subs. Obviously doesn't trust Maddison or Grealish.

He only took Maddson due to media pressure I suspect.

I think Southgate gets too much stick at times, people seem to forget how bad England were for years before he got the job and his tournament record is really good when compared to other managers we had recently.
Just because we still haven't won a tournament does not mean replacing the manager will help that, perhaps England simply have not had good enough players for 56 years and still don't.

Im just happy that they score goals in tournaments now, have a game plan and can compete against top nations like France.

But if he does get replaced then hopefully it's a smart decision and not a terrible one like some managers the FA have hired in the past.

starts in just over a month...
rules/guidelines on the lines of the 2018 competition to follow...if enough interest...
if not...

group stages....8 groups of 4 teams....start date...20th november...

1- pick the 1st + 2nd in each group...3 points each for correct order or 1 point for each correct team in incorrect order...max possible total = 48 points

2- from 3rd,4th,5th & 6th december...round of 16....8 games...pick 8x winners...3 points each...max 24 points

3- from 9th & 10th december....quarter finals...4x games...pick 4x winners...3 points each...max 12 points

4-13th & 14th december...semi finals...2x games...pick 2x winners...max 6 points

5-saturday 17th december...third place play off...pick 1x winner... max 3 points

6-sunday 18th december ...final...pick winner...max 3 points

total of maximum points on offer.....96 points...

I would always win of course with maximum points, but it would always be a good fair fight for the rest of the competition.
