On to the coldest ground in the country - Oldham.

We're without recent loan signings Reece Burke and Lee Evans due to international call ups. Reece Burke will be the biggest player missed, as we have kept two clean sheets since his arrival.

Lee Evans had a shocker against Vale at the weekend, but to his credit, he was MOTM against Barnsley.

Boundary Park hasn't been a happy hunting ground for us down the years - and the last time we won there was back in 1997/98 I believe?

I'm not sure who will partner McArdle in defence, but I suspect Nathan Clarke will get the nod. Hopefully he'll have something to prove due to his incredibly poor start as well.

Devante Cole NEEDS to start. He'll be full of confidence after his late winner against Vale at the weekend.

I don't know much about Oldham, other than they have just signed Mark Yeates, who can be a decent player on his day. They also have George Green. A midfielder who was released from Everton in the summer. He came through our youth setup, and we actually received a decent fee for him in 2011. Circa £350k, rising to £2m ....sadly he never made it, despite seemingly doing really well for Evertons under 21's. One for the future, maybe?

I've always liked the look of Lee Croft. He looks a little on the larger side, but I still think he's a decent signing at this level.

Line-ups, then;

Ben Williams

Darby - McArdle - Clarke - Meredith

Anderson - Liddle - Knott - Marshall

Hanson - Cole

1-0 Oldham

2,500 City

Need to get off to a better start than we did at the weekend. Oldham are a better side than Port Vale and we never win here so I'm going for an Oldham win too. 2-0.

I don't like all this "Oldham will win lark".

Ignore the unbeaten statistic, as it makes us sound better than what we actually are.

Our better performance are coming away from home, with draws at Walsall, Colchester & Bury, and had we finished better, 2 of those should have been wins. At home though, we were garbage in the draw with Shrewsbury and fortunate to beat Fleetwood.

Two home games in a row now and we need to put a marker down as this is what will determine how our season will likely pan out. 6pts from Bradford & Peterborough would turn an OK start into an excellent one.

Latics 2-1 Bradford
Forte & Dunn

I didnt realise we havent lost at home to bradford since 97. But now i do we are bound to lose.

If sat is anything to go.by we will rip you appart through the middle and miss 6 tap ins. Only for you to run down the other end and score in the latter stages of the game.

1-0 bradford.

Ps, croft is awsome even if he looks like he should be in a pie earing contest. Yeates impressed me in his cameo on sat. Would like to see more of him. Same goes for the latvian fella

Hmmm, our wingers are starting to click a bit and Meredith and Marshall will be a handful. I think it's time for our first away win.... 2-0 city

Our official site reported on Saturday that the initial allocation you gave us had sold out. Now, a quick look at the football ground guide, and that suggests that the new away end holds 1,600.

A.) What does the new away end hold
B.) Any idea on what the initial allocation might've been?
C.) Any chance of more tickets if requested?

It also stated that pay on the day was available, and no more tickets would be allocated

The site probably hasn't been updated as the reference to 1600 is the small section of the Rochdale Road End (last year's away end).

The Chaddy holds much more than 1600 - think it may be about 2500.

I'm going to this despite our dire record in Oldham. Saturday's first win is hopefully the springboard needed to get our season into gear although we've played some awful stuff so far. Expect the team that finished against Port Vale to start on Saturday (bar Nathan Clarke for Burke who's away on international duty). A blindly optimistic 1-0 win.

I'll be in Tenerife, so I don't really care.

I'll leave it at that.

Without the North Stand, I think capacity is around 10,300. If we assume the Rocky holds 4,600, that leaves 5,700 between the Main Stand & Chaddy. If you reckon the Chaddy holds 3,500, that means only 2,200 in the Main Stand which seems low to me.

Not saying you're wrong, though.

Burke might be playing if we can get clearance. Big away crowd by looks of it.

If I manage to buy my first car in time then I might make this my first journey in it. Doubt we'll get anything here though, but slightly more confident than I was 2 weeks ago.

Lost count of the amount of times I've been to Boundary Park and not seen us win (no win there since '97ish), as I said above I would imagine the team that finished against Port Vale to start -

...............Williams.................
Darby McArdle Burke Meredith
Marshall Liddle Knott Morris
...........Cole Hanson..............

Dunno how well its been publicised your end but anyone hoping to use the official car park will be out of luck today its shut due to construction.

Alternative arrangements have been made to use the hospital car park.

As you come up the sliproad from the motorway, use the second exit and follow the road up past b and q and its on your right.

No one knows.

We've sold somewhere between 1,200-1,600 so far. I expect around 500-1,000 POTD's.

This game sums up kelly for me. 1 up front is shite at home. We have 3 centre halves on the pitch so with forte going off its gotta be 3 at the back for me with mills going off.

Its actually got the ring of a derby about it before the red. But we have lost this now

Surely we can't balls this up (this being City though, it wouldn't surprise me). Steady so far, should be at least 2 up but I didn't see the Forte incident to warrant the red, surprised as we weren't being given anything really up until then from the ref

We should have this wrapped up.

Do Oldham actually pay money to Dunn?! Overweight and past it.

Actually think it was one of your own players that cleaned out your keeper.
